The Riser Base is used in conjunction with the existing mounting base, it acts to offset the sight from the main tube to increase eye relief.

A very good idea.
A very good finder design. I have installed Telerads on my scopes even though they are very large and I have had to be innovative about placement. The beat out all of the other designs. The bade has been a god send since it places the finder up and out of the way of the lens so my head is not bumping the finder. I can look through the lens with one eye, shift my head a bit and look through the finder..

Excellent additon to the Telrad LED Finder to keep your cheek from touching the optical tube
This elevates the Telrad LED Finder four inches off the optical tube of your telescope. If you already own a Telrad but are tired of placing your cheek down close to the cold metal of the optical tube when you sight, this riser is what you need. Works great on my Orion XT10g. Just be careful of the amount of added weight it will add to one end of your optical tube (moment). This moment can become large and you may need to balance it with magnetic weights on the opposite side of your optical tube. Other than that, and this riser works great. The Telrad base fits exactly into the top of the riser with no problem. Five stars.

Pricy but works.
It is what it is. Over priced plastic that does the job.

Get the 4 inch for a Dobsonian it’s so much easier to use.
I have a 10 inch DOB and I tried the 2 inch riser first. I had to really get down to use the Telrad. The 4 inch riser made it so much easier for me to use.

Small fitment issue
Took a little filing down to fit into the telrad base slots but other than that its great.

Finally a stock Riser for Telrad!!
I use these for Follow Spots for theater. For a long time we have been jury rigging stand offs to make the telrad finder (site) more usable. AT last they make a stock stand off that fits the site without modification!!The 2" model is not very useful for me but the 4" is pretty good. A 5" would probably be perfect....Although all plastic, the vertical struts are strong and quite solid. The mounting system is exactly the same as the original base so they fit perfectly. All in all, it does the job perfectly for me.

As described
As described, fits perfectly on my scope. Just be aware of where you place the riser as it will probably throw the balance of, suggesting the need for weights for counterbalance. Not a bad thing but something to consider.
