The BEST tea kettle!
I'm really pleased with this purchase. I needed a large one, and initially purchased the "Mr. Coffee" version, which was cheaper...and looked it! This Maxware kettle is of much higher quality! It looks great on my stovetop, and boils a large amount of water quickly. The whistle starts off at a low volume and gradually builds up to a scream...you'll have time to get to it before it screams, if you're reasonably close to the kitchen. You won't be disappointed with this tea kettle.

No bells, one whistle. Nothing fancy, gets the job done.
We've had a number of tea kettles over the years. The last two were Oxo. They were okay but I never cared for them that much. They had a habit of burping liquid when you poured from them so I was against getting a third one. Hubby like the look of the design. Me-meh.I spent way too much time looking at tea kettles and gradually settled on this one. It's a tea kettle. It heats water on the stove. There are no bells and only one whistle. The whistle is loud enough hubs can hear it in the back on the house. The handle gets a little warm when hubs turns the gas burner up as high as it will go. I adjust the burner to something less than full throttle jet engine and usually have no problem with the handle getting hot. The Oxo handles always got really hot when he jacked up the burner so I don't know what his beef is with this one other than it isn't one of those damn Oxo kettles. Best thing, this kettle doesn't burp water when you first start to pour from itIf you are looking for just a tea kettle to boil water, this kettle will get the job done. We have it about six weeks. I am very pleased. We'll see how long it last. Based on my experience so far, I would buy this kettle again.I received no compensation for this review.

Worst teapot ever.
I have had this tea pot for about a year and a half. I am ordering a different one and throwing this one out now. The handle has disintegrated so much from the heat of my gas stove that it is dangerous. There are rust stains on the surface of the metal.

Rusting inside only after a few months!
I've been using this tea kettle for a few months now and noticed that it is beginning to rust inside. You would think an item meant to heat up water would have better resistance to rusting. I guess not. Pay a little more and get a kettle that will last longer.

Good value, nice kettle
Love the size of the kettle and also the look of it and the whistle. Only issue I have had with it is that if I want to boil more water when I have used up what has been boiled already is that sometimes the lid is a bit difficult to remove. Otherwise no issues and I have already purchase a second one as a "spare"

Good
It is a decent pot, and heats up just fine. Sometimes, I don't pay attention or forget what I am doing, so it's good that it whistles.
