Your taste buds will explode with these amazing flavors.
Everglades outdid themselves with this medley of flavors. I tried this 5-pack out, and found all my go-to spices for everything. I now buy them in bulk. Try it out, and make up your own mind.Much like many of you, I'm a big fan of Dear Meat For Dinner (DMFD), and have watched most of Roberts videos. 99% of the time, he's got at least one flavor of Everglades Seasoning sitting nearby, regardless if he's at home, at the ranch, on an island, on a boat, with a goat, in the rain... uh, sorry. Where was I? Oh yeah... So, I had to try them, and this variety 5-pack was exactly what I was looking for.I bought this pack a year ago. I waited until now to write up my review so that I could share my honest opinion of each flavor, and some of the dishes in which I’ve personally tried. Forgive the empty Cactus Dust and Rub bottles in the picture, I used them up before doing this review (and taking the picture).I realize everyone has different tastes, this is just my own observations and experiences using these spices. So without further ado, away we go…Here is the list of my favorites in descending order:1. Everglades Cactus Dust2. Everglades Rub3. Everglades Heat4. Everglades Seasoning5. Everglades Fish & ChickenFirst, Cactus Dust. It’s got a mild mesquite flavor to it, more smokey than sweet. Great balance and all the flavors are blended perfectly. Amazing on pork and beef ribs, scrambled eggs, and even popcorn to name a few. If you want a little more sweetness with the smokiness, add a little brown sugar to it, if you want some heat, add cayenne. Everything I put this on tastes amazing, but there are limits. My GF banned me from bringing it into the bedroom.Ingredients: salt, spices, onion and garlic powder, sugar, autolyzed yeast, natural mesquite flavoring, citric acid, extract of paprika, corn starch, caramel powder.Second, Everglades Rub. Amazing flavor. It's a bit on the sweet side, which I use almost exclusively as a rub on all my ribs (well, not MINE personally, that sounded a little strange, plus it tickles), but the pork, beef, and deer/elk ribs I cook.Ingredients: sugar, salt, dehydrated garlic and onion, spices, paprika, monosodium glutamate, dehydrated red bell pepper, natural flavor, extractives of paprika, and silicon dioxide added to prevent caking. The last three contain a natural meat tenderizer called papain, which is made from, you guessed it, papaya. Don't leave it on fish too long or it will turn to fish soup. I typically use a separate homemade papaya/pinapple/kiwi powder for tenderizing, and the following three spices as a flavor enhancer prior to cooking.Third, Everglades Heat. Great flavor, with just a touch of heat. Nothing overbearing, just enough to get your attention. Incredible on burgers and fries, amongst many other dishes.Ingredients: salt, pepper, spices, dehydrated garlic and onion, torula yeast, papain and silicon dioxide added to prevent caking.Forth, Everglades Seasoning. To be honest, at first I didn't care for it. It's hard to put into words, but it has that "Florida spice" flavor for some odd reason. =) . I lived in Cocoa Beach and Melbourne for a while, so I recognize that taste. I don't know if it's the celery powder, or something else that put me off at first, but over the last year, it's grown on me. Now I use it on everything.Ingredients: salt, spices, monosodium glutamate, dehydrated garlic and onion, sugar, papain.Fifth, Everglades Fish and Chicken. Aside from the name, you can use this on practically anything. IMHO, it has a similar flavor to Everglades Seasoning. I use this mostly on seafood. Great for crawfish, crab, shrimp boils. I love it on grilled squid and octopus. You can use this on shark as well, but make sure it's been "dispatched" first, otherwise it just pisses them off.Ingredients: salt, spices, including paprika, dehydrated onion and garlic, sugar, papain.Well, I hoped this review helped some folks out to make a decision trying these amazing spices. To pre-answer some questions: No, I don't work for the company, DMFD, or anything related to them. I'm not a sponsor, nor am I getting paid for this review. I'm passionate about food, family, and friends...and I love these spices.Enjoy,-RobPS: Any honest comments on my review (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated. Your feedback helps me write better reviews in the future. Thank you!Review subject: Everglades Seasoning All Purpose Sampler Cactus Dust Heat Fish and Chicken Rub, 6 oz./8 oz, 5 Count

Great flavor
People say it's salty. I imagine it would be if I just drenched my food with it. Use like a regular person would.

Thanks DEERMEATFORDINNER! AWESOME seasoning
That's the youtube channel I heard about it on, this isn't in my local stores so I bought it, and damn, that is good stuff. I think it was the chicken and fish one? But my wife baked Salmon with it, and it made the most delightful flavorful crust on the Salmon. G'damn. One of the best things I've ever eaten with some hollandaise sauce.I also BBQ'd some Steaks with the rub and those were great.
