I was very excited for my oboe reed because I haven’t practiced in a while and I was ready to pick up the Oboe again. However when I received it I noticed that the cut was way shorter than all my other also had a slight crack/chip at the edge. I was extremely disappointed I will not be ordering from this seller again. Do not waste your money on this product.

The reed did not work. It didn't make a sound and was so stuck it took a teacher and a pair of pliers to remove it.

Where to even start? We won't discuss the horrible packing here, but only the quality of the reed, which is horrible. It was accurately cut and was seemingly assembled by hand. The problem is that the two halves of the reed have a gap from front to back on each side. It makes a good sound if you can hold your fingers over the gaps to close those holes. But this is quite literally unforgiveable. You can't play without hands and you can't fix the gap. Any kind of adhesive will change the resonance and sound of the reed. In 65 years of playing in bands and orchestras, I have never seen a reed this bad. It quite simply doesn't function.

Would have given this zero stars if possible. The reed is held together at the base with a very thin plastic wrap which has already started to unravel. It also has a small wire tie that pokes out dangerously for your lip's safety. The cork is super thin and fits loosely into the instrument. I have a very hard time producing any kind of decent tone with this reed. Highly do NOT recommend!
