Spot Shot Professional Instant Carpet Stain Remover No-Scrub Aerosol, 14 oz

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN EASY TO USE CARPET CLEANER/STAIN REMOVER - LOOK NO FURTHER!!!! This REAAALLLLLLLYYYYYYY DOES WHAT IT SAYS ITS SUPPOSED TO DO!!! My jaw DROPPED when I realized this stuff ACTUALLY works. I have tried an endless number of carpet stain removers over the last few years in all kinds of price points. Unfortunately those cleaners made some of my stains and carpet look even worse. (Note: I did purchase an amazing set around 2004/05 on HSN or QVC. That stuff was magic and lasted forever. When I tried to find it again, I couldn’t :( not sure if it’s discontinued or not). I bought this Spot Shot last week and it arrived yesterday. I was hesitant because, as I mentioned, some of the ones I’ve tried have made some stains/carpet itself look even worse. I noticed some new stains after a couple family members stayed over for a couple weeks. I knew I needed to try to remove the stains as quickly as possible. So gave this a try. Like another reviewer said - this can work TOO well!!! It removed the stain I was concerned about (looked like a wine stain) on my white carpet, BUUUUUT it worked a little too well and made the carpet a much lighter shade of white than it’s original color. I figured that’s not AS bad as having an evident stain though! I also probably over-sprayed the area (a little goes a long way) and let it sit there on the carpet for a few minutes - so that was my fault. *After spraying, be sure to blot with a soft cloth.* Because it worked so well, I decided to try it on other areas of the home as well. I used much less this time and it clearly broke down the stains!!! NOW came the ultimate test - I had a nail polish spill from Spring 2018. (It was minutes before I left my home to the airport, so there wasn’t much time to take care of the stain when it first happened. I did try to remove it immediately with soap & water, nail polish remover, but it didn’t work). I’ve tried several removers for this specific stain for 2.5 years. NOTHING WORKED!!! The last one actually made my carpet darker, almost like a faded grey :-/ I knew at that point I’d probably need my carpet professionally cleaned or completely changed out. I used this spray yesterday throughout the nail polish spills. I did let this one sit for a few minutes before blotting considering how long it’s been there. I started blotting and rubbing away, OMG. IT STRIPPED DOWN THE NAIL POLISH!!!!! It took ALOT of time, a lot of energy from my hands and wrist to *spray, blot, repeat*, but IT WORKED!!! I did not think anything could work on THIS stain!!!! I ended up using it on the areas that got “darker” from other removers, and it certainly helped bring my carpet color back to a close original color!!!! 24 hours after spraying and blotting the carpet, most areas of my carpet color seem to match the rest of my carpet. I think it needs time to settle back and dry to get to a natural state. I am telling you, this product is a MUST have in your home at ALL times if you have any carpet!!! I am going to order some more to keep on hand (I ended up going through half the bottle!!) If you know someone with carpet who is looking for a stain remover - I suggest you recommend this to them, or better yet, GIFT IT TO THEM!!! I will forever be buying this product for the rest of my LIFE (as long as the formula stays the same and it continues to work like magic!)

This takes out old stains Wonderful for pet stains

Many years ago when Spot Shot was a new company, and I was broke in college, I bought a can of this to clean my car carpet due to a clutch fluid spill. It was new and cheap, so it fit the bill. It worked great for that stain... but being a kid in college I didn't have much use for the remainder, so I gave it to my parents. They used it and were hooked. When I bought my first house, I remember how my parents raved about how amazing Spot Shot worked on their carpet so I bought another can. I have been hooked ever since. Since we have kids, I have tried a ton of products for spot/stain removal, but always go back to Spot Shot. My kids friends spelt red Kool-Aid on our NEW carpet and nothing could remove the stain, except Spot Shot. It's not a miracle fix for stains, but it's pretty close. I highly recommend this stuff. Totally worth the price.

Good product, works well easy to use

Sometimes I see it remove the stain before I even scrub it with a brush. So far it’s been the best thing remover. I’ve tried. I’ve been using it for years. Mostly on the rug. You have to be careful when you’re spraying line it up with the red line and it tells you it. What an angle but it’s very effective.

Wow this stuff is powerful. It was the only thing that neutralized bad odor from cat puke and urine on my couch. Combining it with hoover oxy solution too, but that didn't take out the odor. Definitely going to be doing a couple more rounds with the hoover scrub xl cleaner to take out the strong detergent smell though. Aired couch out last night but smell is really strong. I used a whole can on the couch though. Spot shot has a pretty powerful release so I used a large piece of plastic to prevent the foam from projecting past the couch. Material of my couch is tweed grey and it didn't bleach anything, just loosened stains and restored to original color. Recommend!

This stuff erases practically anything…immediately upon contact…it’s pretty amazing. Buy the product, but find another seller…there are 2 cans shown in description but you only get 1. There are much better prices available than this.

Purchased this based on other reviews when a sauce packet leaked onto our living room rug. Tested a small area first to make sure it wouldn’t leech color from the rug itself and was absolutely blown away by how quickly the stain vanished. Forgot to take a before picture until half the stained already vanished, but you can still see the distinct difference. Stain was completely gone within fifteen minutes of light scrubbing. Highly recommend!
