This is hands down, the absolute best moisturizing, and softness generating natural hair product that I have ever used. When I first went to natural hair, I was thoroughly frustrated with the fact that after having used relaxers for years, my hair was very damaged and dry. Not to mention the fact that it had become nappier than it had ever been in my life! It was so hard to comb and manage that I went back to using relaxers. Once I did this, my usual head full of thick, longer hair, started to break off and became so short and uneven, I decided in anger and frustration, to just cut it off to within a couple of inches in length. One day while searching through the many products at Walmart for natural hair, I had no idea what to try. Then, by chance alone, a younger, African American female, walked over to the hair products, and chose the Shea Moisturizer. Hopeful that she might know more than I did about what was a good product, I selected what she selected...the Shea Moisturizer. And wow, am I glad I did! It made my hair soft and manageable! I started using it on my 2 granddaughters “mixed” hair and it worked really well on their extremely long, thick, curly hair! The only problem was, once that first jar was empty, I went back to several Walmart stores looking for it, and could not find it any where. That’s when I searched for the product on Amazon. I found it!🙌🏾 But my only complaint is that the price was almost TWICE what it was at Walmart!!! I hope 🤞🏾 Walmart gets it back because I can’t afford to keep using it on my hair and my 2 granddaughters at the Amazon price. But it truly is an excellent product...I just wish that I had discovered it before I cut all of my hair off.☹️ Diane

Love the way this makes my curly hair look and feel! I saw a video on YouTube by Curly Susie who uses and recommended this product. My hair has about the same texture and curl pattern as hers, so I gave it a try. I am extremely happy with the results! I have Caucasian loose wavy/curly hair, medium length. I used about a quarter size amount. Upon drying, my hair feels soft, silky, virtually frizz free and best of all the curls are more defined. I am very happy to have found a reasonably priced product for my curly hair. She also recommends Biotera alcohol free gel. I use that after applying the Shea Moisture leaven and my curls look the best I have ever seen them. The gel is approximately $15 for 32 ounces. At Sally beauty stores or Amazon. I am thrilled to find products that don’t cost so much money and are still good for my hair.

I'm not one of those people who use a lot of different products on my skin and hair. In fact, before this I had been water only the past two years. It was all good, up until I decided to bleach my hair on my own... four times. I know, lol. So anyway, I decided I needed to get some products to keep my hair alive for the time being. Like I said, I didn't use products for the last couple years. So then I got myself a shampoo, conditioner, some hair protein(?) stuff, and also this. I would use this after every time I wet my hair and oh. my. GOD. I love it!!! I only use very little, and a little goes a long way! It smells pretty good, too. And it keeps my hair super pretty! Like, the prettiest it's ever been! As if I'd never even bleached my hair!!! My curls are more defined too. I don't have the curliest hair (it's more wavy, tbh), but with this it's less weird-looking and not frizzy at all. And it's NEVER been this nice. Omg. I've never liked my hair before, I'm telling you. I love it now. I definitely don't have a 5 star hair, but I love my hair now. I don't think I need to straighten it to hide my frizziness anymore. I used to think I couldn't look "presentable" unless I straightened my hair-- and so I'd straighten it sometimes-- but now I don't think I'll ever really need to! I'm so glad I fried my hair with bleach because if I hadn't done that, I wouldn't've ever discovered this product. Lol. Love, love, love! Everybody's hair is different so it might not work as good for some, but it's definitely worth trying!

I would give this conditioner a 5 star review but I had to deduct a star for the weird smell. It's not a horrible smell but it's not good, just weird. Like others, i definitely think it smells like play dough but it also smells like play dough mixed with vanilla cake batter or icing...it's a weird combo. All of the other Shea Moisture products I've used smell wonderful. This one is my least favorite of the scents. Besides the smell this conditioner is wonderful. I only need a small amount to smooth and moisturize my hair. It cuts down on the frizz and gives my hair a much softer, silky texture. I think next time I'll try another one of the Shea Moisture leave-in conditioners.

I use this conditioner after washing my hair, on towel dry hair. I apply a Sam all amount with my fingertips to problem areas of my scalp and lightly throughout my hair, especially the ends. A very small amount goes a long way. This has improved the shininess and body of my hair as well as curing the frizziness. I am a 60+ year old with the hair problems of such. I believe this has also helped with elasticity of hair and has reduced breakage and shedding. Great conditioner.

Very baby fine, frizzy, color treated, very delicate White medium length hair - Purchased as a recommendation from an acquaintance. I was afraid this would be too heavy which is the case a lot of the time with my hair. I was extremely pleasantly surprised! Immediate results and not too heavy. I used a clarifying shampoo then allowed the mask to set for about 10 minutes in my bath, massaging in scalp down entire length of my hair. I did hake sure to rinse very thoroughly but my hair felt AWESOME and sleek while rinsing, and noticeably less dehydrated and happier/more slip and smoother after blow drying and medium heat straightener regular routine. Smells nice and feels nice while using. I ve been using a couple times a week and I'm in LOVE.

Der Duft ist etwas intensiv, aber angenehm. Das Produkt zieht gut ein und hinterlässt keinen fettigen Film. Ich benutze es vor allem nach dem Waschen und lasse mein Haar lufttrocknen. Die Locken wirken definierter und gepflegt. Für sehr trockenes oder strapaziertes Haar eine gute Wahl – ich werde es weiterhin benutzen, aber man braucht je nach Haardichte nicht zu viel davon.

I always repeat purchase this leave in moisturizer fir my little girl with Afro hair. I use it daily and It leaves her hair lovely and soft whilst also allowing me to comb through her hair without pulling or hurting.

Amazing product. Helps with dry hair. I also use the Sheamoisture Reconstructor for undernourished hair and apply it between shampoos. I apply it to my dry frizzy hair closest to my face and leave it on my dry hair and comb my hair when it drys. It has cleared up a lot of my dry frizzy hair. You only need to use a little bit on the hair - amazing products.
