Q: my brush handle is pretty thick, I have the metal spinner and very hard to put in , is plastic easier?

I use paint brushes with wooden handles and have no problem getting the metal grippers to grab on tightly.

not sure what you mean by under two inches, but the cleaner grabs the handle of the brush and its held pretty tight. So it could I think work.
