A gripping story within a gripping story
I am quickly becoming a Lisa Wingate fan. This story, and the one nested within it, are gripping, intriguing and inspirational. Lisa’s work is far more than just entertainment - reading her books takes the reader to another fascinating place, but we return better and more hopeful than when we left. Masterful.

Spellbound throughout
Absolutely brilliant. I saw this book advertised in a magazine during a recent trip to the Blue Ridge mountains and am so pleased I bought it. What a great story teller! I couldn't put it down.

Another beautiful portrayal of God’s loving bond in the family, even through painful history
Lisa Wingate is the author I seek when I want and need to be assured that God gave his children a family. The members are imperfect, some broken. But there is hope, if we choose to pursue it.

Incredible Story!
This story is so moving! I hated to have it end. Lisa Wingate is an exceptional writer. I’ve read a few of her other books and plan to read more. Take a mini vacation and lose yourself in this book!
