I’m pleased with the performance, and though it’s not miraculous, it does brighten and smooth. Yes, it’s viscous and does dry down to a sticky texture, which really doesn’t matter at night once moisturizer goes over it. As for day, I’ve discovered that on its own or as a top layer over well-absorbed moisturizer—without any other product over it—the thick and tacky texture makes it work surprisingly well as a primer. Like, better than a lot of primers—it really grabs onto a foundation formulated with silicones.

Edit: I wanted to edit/update my review to add one warning: do not get this in nor anywhere near the eyes. I wiped my eye hours after applying the serum and it began burning intensely for several minutes. The burning got so bad and lasted so long, I eventually rinsed the eye as a precaution and washed the remaining serum off my face. I likely won’t resume use after that experience. That was quite alarming, especially occurring several hours after application. There were no other creams or ointments on my face and I had just washed my hands with a gentle soap formulated for sensitive skin.I’ll start by saying I do like this serum. It goes on easily, absorbs quickly, and has a tolerable scent. I sometimes feel a very mild burning sensation on more sensitive areas if my face, but it quickly disappears. The burning is fleeting, like the sensation of alcohol on a tiny invisible scratch. Application pf the serum is via a dropper. I see results instantly and observe some tightening and firming of my face skin. However, it doesn’t produce the same stunning results as some of my other Korean skin care products. My pores and fine lines are visibly larger and more noticeable with this serum than they are with other serums. Also, my skin has a light, tacky feel after drying. This serum is merely okay for me, although it might be phenomenal for other skin types and textures. I just can’t see myself continuing to use it if it burns and better options for my skin type are available.

Dermalogy by Neogenlab V.Biome Infusion SerumThis serum arrived in a branded box that was sealed for safety. A lot of the text is in Korean, but the ingredients are listed in English. The 1.01 fl oz /30 ml serum comes in a pretty, clear glass bottle with an eye dropper. The label is made to easily peel off for recycling, which is a nice touch and one I haven’t seen before.I’ve been using this serum on a clean face for over a week and have been following it up with a light moisturizer. The milky serum is lightweight and has no scent. The serum thins out easily and spreads well, but no matter how much I used (I tried to use as little as possible in case I was using too much), my skin felt tacky and it didn’t go away. I tried waiting longer before applying my light moisturizer, but the tackiness remained.The serum contains fantastic ingredients such as vitamin C, ferulic acid, and niacinamide, and there aren’t any “icky” ingredients, but because of the tackiness I experienced I would choose a different serum. Your experience may differ. I have acne-prone, combination skin, and I didn’t experience any irritation, redness, or spots while using this.Vegan. Cruelty free. An icon tells me the serum will be good for 12 months after opening, and both the box and bottle I received in April 2023 was marked EXP 2025 04 24. Made in Korea.

Like many serums, this one does leave behind a bit of tackiness. Once my moisturizer goes on top though, my skin feels fine.This was a great serum to come across as it has so many great ingredients, and there is nothing in it to irritate my mature skin.
