Matt gets better and better with each one
The latest Joe Hunter story is just fabulous. Matt gets better and better with each one.Fast paced and exciting all the way through, this is another example of how Matt gets the reader totally immersed in the pages. I don't know how he does it but hopefully he will carry on with more of the same for a long time to come. For anyone who has not read the earlier Joe Hunter books - I would suggest you buy the whole series before reading this one. Get to know Joe and bring youself up to date with the stories. They are all different but with each one you learn more about the characters. Apart from this it would be a shame to miss out on some super reading. For fans this is a must.

shame that Rink was not included much in story.
Huge fan of this series have read them all. This was a little under par, towards the end Hilton goes into great detail about each and every fight that Joe gets into to, this does get rather tedious infact you can skim over these pages and still get the gist of whats going on. Also Hilton chose not to include Rink into the story very much........in my opinion big mistake, these two guys gel together thus making the read so gripping and exciting . Even so its still worth a read.

I wish I was Joe Hunter!
Anyone who buys a Matt Hilton / Joe Hunter book knows what they are getting. Tough, fast paced, excellent storyline told in such a way that you must turn the next page. Devils Anvil is no exception. My wife and I have read all the Joe Huner series and whilst not my favourite (4 Stars) it' s certainly up there with the rest of them. I just wonder, know where Matt comes from does he get all his Americanisms?

Matt Hilton I blame you for being a poor Mum.
Matt Hilton I blame you for being a poor Mum...It's the summer hols! Started it, loved it - fed dvd's & sweets to my 5 yr old so i could read it, then got really grumpy when i neared the end as i knew it would soon be over. As fast a read as it denotes (loved the Reacher reference). I've said it before but 'Jack Reacher; you had my heart....but there's a new guy in town and.....i think he could take you'
