Takuminowaza Japan High Class Stainless Steel Nail Clippers G-1020

They are smaller than I expected but very well made and sharp. I am sure they will last for a long time. I would buy them again. I love that the cutting line is flat/straight and not curved like most.

cuts smooth. I guess I have thick nails so American pharmacy nail clipper doesn't do its job. this one cuts smoothly and no flare out on the cut edge. if you have thin nails it may not even make a clipping noise.

In terms of the cutting ability, these clippers do cut nails extremely smoothly and easily. Like a hot knife through butter. The issue I have, which many other people have made mention of is that I owned the previous generation of this exact nail clipper a few years ago, and I bought these as a backup. The clippers are a good 1/3 of an inch shorter now, and the width has been literally chopped in half. The previous generation was about the width of an adult nail where as these are the width of something barely larger then a mini nail clipper many folks travel with. Not only that, but the price on these was $10 more than other very good quality clippers like Green Bell. Do yourself a favor and just purchase a curved nail clipper set from Green Bell instead. Those clippers have remained the same for years and the size continues to be the exact same larger (human nail size) clipper.

High grade nail clippers are worth the price. Cheap ones do a crappy job. Good ones work way better, satisfying to use, last forever. Pay up with confidence, you'll never regret it.

Like all Japanese cutting tools, these are top notch. But be advised that the blades on this model are dead straight. They don't curve like your nails do. I found this made a lot of extra work so I returned them.

I never though I would need to care about what nail clippers I have, but after getting these and seeing how smoothly they cut, other nail clippers are now so clunky to me.
