Ateco Round Food Molding Set, 3.5 by 2.1-Inches High, 4-Piece Set Includes 2 Rings, Fitted Press & Transfer Plate

There are plenty of reviews here, but I’ll add my two cents anyway. The thing that stands out with these as with the other Ateco products I’ve used so far, and that is quality. The steel is exceptionally good. It’s well/polished, seamless, and a heavy enough gauge that it stays round. It’s a proper stainless and always comes up clean when I wash it, and doesn’t respond poorly to dishwasher soap like some of the cheaper “stainless” products I’ve had the misfortune of using. Of course it does as you’d expect for making cylinder-molded foods, but one of my favorite party tricks is taking the 3.5” mold and putting 1.5 oz of my preferred ground beef mix in it, and in no time at all, you can hand mold exquisite quantities of slider patties. Toast up some dinner rolls, and thar she blows. Whether you pickle some veg and slice some tomatoes and make some bacon and all that is up to you. Bear in mind that the presser is smooth and not fluted or scalloped at all, so don’t use it for sliders, but do use it for elegant layered courses. The transfer pan is nicely sized to exceed the edges of the mold, and has a nicely creased gusset where the thumb grip meets the edge, so it doesn’t wobble, and stays true to shape as long as you don’t put it at the bottom of the sink with the rest of your pots and pans resting on it. There are few kitchen tools I’d recommend without hesitation, but this is one of them.

This is my first try! This was so much fun. You can make desserts, salads, Mexican food, veggie stacks, casseroles, seafood, Italian food, ice cream, Mediterranean food, the ideas are endless! The presentation is amazing. I made two and the first mold came off easily. The second try, the mold was harder to remove. I think with practice, the technique will be perfected. It is worth the money. I will definitely use this on the meal rotation. This will make you feel like a chef extraordinaire! lolI do wish they had a taller size though. You definitely will not regret this purchase!

The name brand round sushi towers only come in a kit with a regular size and a large size. I would never use the large size and that tower kit is way overpriced. This product is the right size for me and you get two forms that you could potentially use if you needed to make a lot for a party. Seems well made. Just don't give it to your ignorant friends who think sushi means raw fish. You know who I mean!

One of the rings arrived with a little irregular shape, but not enough for me to return it. I used it today as an egg ring. The presser help to keep the egg from sticking when I remove the cylinder, and the eggs did not leak from the bottom. The metal is thick but still bendable and can be bump out of shape. I pick this item to use as an egg ring because it is 3.5" diameter and it is metal with no coating. The eggs fit perfectly in an english muffin. All metal egg rings that I can find are either silicon, 3" diameter, or have a non stick coating.

Sturdy and they work well

I love this set, but why on earth did it take two months to get? I'll have to admit though that the supplier did keep me notified via email of the expected date and when that date came and went, they still kept me notified (3 times) and because of their contact it was the reason I didn't cancel the order which only goes to show that communication is a good thing! Glad I did because it is a well made item, I'm having fun using it and coming up new ways to present foods in a different and appealing way. My favorite is using this as a side for a scrumptious small tenderloin filet, perhaps layering wild rice mix with a veggie or fruit, topped with a compatible sauce.

Very happy with these... a little more expensive than other options, but very sturdy, and I also think the spatula you put the rings on while filling is helpful. I do wish the seller would clarify the pictures/prices of the medium and large rings for sale separately. The pictures/prices seem to be reversed, i.e. the smaller looking one is labeled "large" and has the higher price, and vice versa.

Two rings were sent, but the box was partially crushed and one of the rings is misshapen and you can't put the press through it. The one that survived seems nice and I can't wait to try it.
