QuickFinder Small Dog Nail Clipper for dogs up to 40 Pounds

This is the second pair of Quick Finder Nail Clippers I have had in the last 8 years. They are brilliant, especially if your dog has black nails like mine, you dont need any experience or be able to see the quick, just put your dogs nail in keep going down till the light goes green and squeeze the handles together. I thought it was so good I even took mine to the vets with me to show the vet, she was really impressed. This is something I would not be without.

Like all the other reviews state this item is just awful. I have a small dog with black nails so it always frightens me to trim them myself. In efforts to save some money I purchased this item. The sensor is all kinds of crazy. It jumps randomly between the red and green even if I haven't moved it, and it hard to get a reading no matter what angle you keep it at. After reading the instructions carefully I tried several times to get a clear reading but was unable to get it to cooperate. I was uncomfortable making any cuts and was luckily able to return it. Don't waste your money either get a regular good trimmer or if you're like me just take them to the groomer.

I had high hopes for this product because it's difficult to clip my dogs nails. Usually I have taken him into the groomers, but due to a skin condition I've had to do it myself. I have suspend him to keep from panicking, but even then he can only handle a short time up there, so grinding doesn't work.I bought these clippers because it's hard to see the cuticle and obviously I don't want to cut it. I followed the instructions and made sure to cut when it was green. When he was up there and the first few nails were done, I noticed blood on my glove. The first 2 nails were bleeding. I moved to the next paw, trying again, but still ended up 2 bleeding nails. I gave using it because; 1, 4 bleeding nails, 2, my dog had enough of the clippers and started twisting and turning becoming dangerous for him. I did eventually finish his nails, but without this product.He started to panic so bad that he twisted and turned and almost fell. I doubt I'll be able to use that method again. I definitely wouldn't suggest this product, it caused more problems then solved.

I would not buy these again. Yes the quick finder works, however the actual cutter is so dull you have to put a lot of pressure to the handle to get it to cut and it makes a very loud click when finally cuts. Went back to my old nail cutters so it was a waste of my money.
