This is a great labs book for practicing what you've learned in your Network+ Study Material.Having said that, make sure you've gone through some form of reading or video material about networking before expecting to get anything out of this book.Because that's what this book is. It's hands on labs. It's not a book for just reading about network services and protocols. No. You are downloading Cisco Packet Tracer and USING what you should have learned already in video or reading material. This book is to help make it all more tangible and real to you. That's the point of it. If you bought this book and you're confused, go read some study material or watch some professor messer on YouTube, and then come back to this book.

A lot of the knowledge is out dated or missing depth. Many commands simply do not work due to Packet Tracer, or selecting the wrong model of a device. You will have to spend significant time troubleshooting and doing work arounds. That's fine I guess, but, it doesn't lead for a very linear progression of knowledge.

Am a big fan of these books. But they lack one thing and that is a decent table of content.
