I read so many online reviews first and I am glad I chose this stain!
I LOVE how well my deck came out using this stain. I had wood decks that were painted solid blue by the previous owner. Once the paint started to peel and fade, I had a professional painter come and powerwash and sand all of the old paint off. He suggested several products from other companies, but after reading some of the reviews for them I decided to go my own route and chose this product. I am so glad that I did.My painter used brushes to apply this stain using the suggested wet-on-wet application method in the instructions (that is two coats with 10-15 minutes between each coat). We waited for a day where there were 48 hours of dry weather before application and another 48+ hours after (again, as per the directions). The end result is a deck that was completely transformed. It doesn't even look like the same house. It looks more high-end than the country blue did. You can see the wood grain well through the stain and for the most part, it dried flat. My painter was convinced that it was going to dry with a shine because of the wet-on-wet method that they suggested, but he was surprised at the quality of the stain and said he would use it again in the future. My neighbors all love how it looks, too.Time will tell how well this stain holds up. I will report back when things change, but in the meantime, things are looking great.

Love this stain..
I bought this stain for my new fence about year ago. It is what it says; a wood preservative. It does soak into the wood some. It doesn't sit on top like some stains. That means your fence will have a more "natural wood " look than a "varnish poly " look. I plan to power wash the fence next year and apply a another coat, but thin since that it has been well worn. One thing to note is that because it soaks in, some areas may not stain well. Meaning .. it gets covered, but it may not look like it did. I used an powered sprayer which I recommend because this stain is thick and not suited for a cheap, pump sprayer. To get those areas that look unstained (but they are) , you may want to use a brush to dab it on. Not saying this is proper application, but I did it. Looks great. My neighbors are jelly :-)

Still looks good at year 3!
Excellent protection! I’m on year 3 now with my hot tub deck. Still looks as good as day one, water still beads up. I applied with a pump sprayer, then rolled with a quality roller. Pump sprayer was trashed afterwards, I don’t recommend that type of application. I’m fixing to purchase another 5 gallons for a 20x50 deck, I’ll use an airless sprayer for that project. Highly recommend this product.

Good product
On the directions it says you can use a pump sprayer. Don't do it. It will go on too thick and have black shiny areas. Use a good brush. With a brush it goes on much better. It is more even in color and you will get more coverage. Once dry it protects from water extremely well. It also protects from the sun well. I highly recommend TWP. It's good stuff.

Great long-lasting product
I used a deck brush to apply it this time on our 16' x 20' deck and it was a great deal faster. This is a great product

Great coverage and dried nice and uniform
Great coverage and dried nice and uniform. Sprayed privacy fence with airless sprayer and once the gun was set properly ,I didn't have to back brush. Seemed like a quality oil base stain. How it holds up will tell how good it really is.
