Nice workmanship and reasonably priced
I bought this as a decor for my office to go with a oriental theme I tried to give it. I loved the way it was packed, it came flawless, there was some grease on the actual blade, I found it to be cosmoline which is also used to store firearms after manufactured and before sold, this wiped clean with no issues. The workmanship is really nice and professional looking. I found it to be worth the money for my needs.

False advertising
I bought this sword for my bother as a Christmas gift. When he did enjoy the gift, unfortunately i discovered it was a wooden sword only after I have given it. I know a real Japanese sword is expensive, but I still feel ripped off. Do yourselves a favor and avoid buying this sword

Pretty sweet sword
I like the sword it's very nice and it just fills me with happiness. However it does require some cleaning when you first take it out of the saya (scabbard). I did not like that there was dried glue on the blade I had to scratch it off it comes off easy though and doesn't leave a mark.

... talking about in their other reviews this is a good quality katana for display purposes
I don't know what people are talking about in their other reviews this is a good quality katana for display purposes. It is not a wooden sword the metal blade is a little sharp and can be sharpened if one wishes too. I plan to. But it looks and feels great. I am no sword expert though but for the price I feel like I made a good purchase!

A beautiful sword, and an even better add to my collection.
I got this as a gift from a friend of mine just last night. Needless to say, it's a beautiful sword. Sheathed, it looks amazing. The kanji on the saya (scabbard) is actually engraved on it, instead of being cheap and have it painted on. The tsuba (hand guard) is circular, and is nice and tight (on mine at least). The sageo (wrapping) on the handle is done nicely, is flush, and tight as well; not loose to the point where it easily becomes undone. The blade is very nice; has a nice gloss to it, but not too much and most importantly, it's not crooked. On mine, it's as straight as it could be from what I can tell. The blade also has some kanji written on it near the base. Overall, whether you hang this on a wall, or place it on the stand it comes with, it really is a nice touch to any room you put it in. I have other katanas in my collection and this one is being added to it, a nice addition indeed.
