I have a size 12 shoe and ordered xl and it fit perfect even after a wash. Can’t attest to killing ticks but it is light colored which is good to spot any.

Defeat ticks and chiggers with these socks. Since buying these socks, my nuisance insect attacks have been reduced to nearly none. I recommend using them with permethrin treated pants for the best results.

These seem to be effective and were comfortable. They ripped apart after a dozen or so wearings/washings.

These are otherwise nice socks and I have yet to get ticks or chiggers past them. The problem that I have with them, which is a killer, is that they seamed them right on top of the foot over the toes and it is giving me a blister on the knuckle of my big toes.

My husband had frequent issues with bug bites when he cut the grass in the spring, summer, and early fall months in the south. Spraying his legs helped for awhile, but didn't last due to sweating. Finding these socks was the best solution to this problem. In fact they worked so well, that I went back and ordered 2 more pairs for him. In addition, they appear to be well made. I have washed the first pair over 15 times, and they still appear to be preventing bites.

Got these for my husband who is quite picky about most things. He loves them. They Work! No mosquitoes got through on our hikes. He likes that they are not so thick that they squish you foot in your shoe. He recommends.

I wear these every day during the summer when I’m working outdoors. I haven’t ever gotten a chigger bite under the socks. I usually buy two pair a year and Cycle them throwing in them away after three years. This way I always have six pairs available.
