Best dive mask ive ever owned and people look at me shocked when I say it was 20 bucks. Fits like a glove and never had issues fogging. Spearfishing with it for 5 years now still going strong. Buy and never look back

I bought this as a backup to my main mask, and was drawn to this due to it's low-volume design and low price. After using it a bunch of times, I absolutely love this one. The silicone skirt is super comfortable, and the adjustable strap is pretty stretchy, which is good for me (I'm a long-haired dude, and the stretchy strap doesn't pull on my hair while putting it on, or while putting a hood over it). The field of vision is also great, and I tend to use this as my primary mask when at wreck sites with swimthroughs (helps me to not bump into overheads, since the field of vision is better than my other mask). I used this mask on a scuba class down to a depth of 60 ft & also in a swimming pool recreationally. It is the best mask I have ever had for swimming in the pool. It seals well & fits to my face without leaking despite the fact that I have a mustache. It worked good for my scuba diving class also. I have a large/wide face & this mask fits my facial structure well.

Excellent value, but it takes time to know the mask. Fit may be difficult to find or unexpected. Once the fit is found take your time to make sure before every dive. If you have a good fit the mask is bomb proof, I've gone through waves with it. But if you don't find that fit, low-volume means that mask really fills up fast which is frustrating.The reason for the 4 and not 5 stars is because I think the tempered glass statement should be on the bottom of the lens rather than the top. To get a good fit, the lettering is in the way

Wouldn't necessarily say they are the same as mares as there are a few differences aside from the lense and mask design. Though at my local dive shop they sell a mask that is the same exact mask as this with a anti glare coating for $90. I haven't used these much aside from a little in the river a scalloping in 9ft. When I go spearfishing I'll update. But in what I used so far it's pretty good. Good fit with nice field of view, press the mask in your face after getting in the water and the lense will be pretty close. Water doesn't like getting out on the bottom of the lense as there is a small pocket, it doesn't make much of a difference. Only complaint I can think of is that when I pinch my nose or hit the bottom with the snorkel water will get in the nose. Makes sense as there isn't a double seal on the bottom, keep in mind the same thing would be present with the mares star or whatever mask I seen for $90 near me. I didn't have a issue clearing underwater. Overall it's a pretty good mask especially for the value. Update: after scuba diving and freediving around 40 ft, the mask functioned good. didn't notice any leaks, though the issue with water sitting on the bottom of the lense persists. and can be annoying. you could have it dry on land and go in but eventually you'll readjust it or take it off and get water stuck in it.

I actually already had this exact same mask before I bought it. It's kind of a generic design that you can find under different "brands". One that is sold here in Hawaii is under a brand called "poi pounders," a lower end brand that sells gear at like walmart. The mask works great for me, I freedive and spearfish. I've tried alot of other masks and none fit my face like this one. BUT, it's just a normal volume mask. I ordered this one because it said low volume and in the photo looked more like a low volume mask compared to the one I originally had, the skirt in the photo looked smaller. So I ordered this one since i already know the design works for my face, but when it came I found out its the exact same volume as the one I already had. Maybe its lower volume that some of the reallly clunky masks out there, but IMO, it by no means is a low volume mask. If you go to a dive shop and try on low volume masks, they sit completely different on your face and you can tell they are quite a bit smaller and are lower volume. This sits very far away from your face and is not ideal for deep free diving. 3 stars because its a good mask for the price, don't get me wrong, it's just not low volume.

This is clearly a clone of the Sporasub/Mares Star mask, and while the finish on the parts is not as good as the original, the issues are trivial and cosmetic (shiny vs matte skirt, untrimmed seams from silicone molding) with nothing to compromise actual function. The design it is based on is very good (sturdy, low volume and great field of view) so, at a fraction of the price of the original, this is a great deal.As a reference for those wondering if this will fit them - up until now the best fitting mask I've used is the one re-branded as an IST Bluetech / Scubamax Aria / Subgear Steel ... to name some of the labels it's sold under. While that mask is probably a better fit for a wider range of faces, this one fits me better (snugger fit, lower volume, better lateral field of view). Incidentally, while some reviews have said the Mares Star is better suited to narrower faces, I'm one of those wider faces that the Omer Zero 3 actually fits (and the Micromask is too small for), and I would rate this as a good mask for a bigger/wider face. The volume and field of view is not as good as the Zero, but the skirt is more forgiving and the frame over the top of the nose is less likely to press uncomfortably.Oh ... I also received my package a week ahead of the promised date.

I was not sure about buying these at first but I am glad I did. I have use $100 goggles before and man I am never buying those again these will fog up on you in a few secs when u first buy them but all u have to do is put some tooth paste on the lenses and rub it around with you finger and they stay clear. they have great suction and are great for free diving and spearfishing
