This Thing is Huge!
This the first sonic cleaner I've ever had, so I shopped around quite a bit before buying this one. There were no reviews at the time I bought it, but I decided to take a chance on it, and so far, so good. The first thing I tried in this were prescription glasses and sunglasses, and it did a really great job cleaning both. My crystals that I glued on my glasses were still intact, which was a relief, and there was no damage at all to the plastic sunglasses. The next thing I tried was makeup brushes. I just added water and some Ivory liquid soap, and it did a really great job on those. Then I tried sterling silver with water and Ivory, but no tarnish came off. So, I bought some BLITZ jewelry cleaner, tried again, and had some mixed results. For some earrings, the tarnish came off beautifully, while for others it didn't. I haven't tried any other jewelry, but I'm confident the combination will do well.A word of warning about this is, this thing is huge! It takes up quite a bit of counter space, so be sure and measure before buying. Fortunately, I found a place under the counter for mine. However, I like the size because it handles the big over-the-glasses sunglasses, and my husband's big aviator prescription glasses very easily.Nowadays, it's a bonus if something even comes with an instruction booklet, much less a detailed one. Fortunately, this one does, and it was very helpful. While this cleaner comes with a removable plastic basket, the stainless steel part isn't removable. Therefore, to clean it, you have to unplug the unit and take it to a sink, dump out the dirty water, and then clean it. Because of its size, that makes it kind of difficult, so I wish the stainless steel part could be removed. Also, in my research, I saw that other cleaners offered a watch holder so that just the bracelet part could be cleaned without immersing the whole thing, and I would like to have had that. I've had my watch for so long that I can't remember if it's waterproof to any extent, so I don't want to risk immersing it fully.Overall, I'm happy with this cleaner, and I recommend it. Just in case you might be wondering, I paid the full Amazon price for this, and was not given any incentive by the seller.

A busy firearm enthusiasts dream come true!!
I did some shooting this past weekend and I purposely left my guns dirty and did not clean them. I had already purchased this item from Amazon and was waiting for it to be delivered, so I decided this would be the perfect chance to test it out. I received the item today and quickly unboxed it and set it up on my table. I broke down four of my pistols and two BCG's that I took to the range and filled the tank up with simple green heavy duty solution and water mixed in a1:3 ratio. I put 2 slides and one BCG in the bath and ran it twice at 480 seconds each time and did this for both groups. When completely done, the solution which started out as a very light translucent purple, ended up almost black. I was absolutely amazed. There's no way that I could have gotten those parts as clean by hand as the machine did. I put the parts in a big bowl and ran clean tap water over them to get the cleaning solution off. I then took them outside and blow dried them off with my with my air compressor hose. Then I reassembled all the parts in my firearms and lubed them up really well. This process was so easy that I plan on buying another unit so that I can clean almost all my parts together in one sitting. I read other reviews were people were putting their parts in a solution inside a Ziploc bag and submerging the Ziploc bag in clean water in order to keep their tank cleaner. I understand the logic behind this and it makes complete sense but my logic was that I would just clean the tub out after I used it and wipe it out with a paper towel. Worked perfect and cleaned up just like new. To each their own I guess. Only time will tell how this unit will hold up, but I'm pretty confident that it should last a good while. Because of the price I paid for it, if it'll last a couple of years I will be completely satisfied. As a sidenote the sound it makes is kind of annoying. When I turned it on my wife and four-year-old kept looking around the house trying to figure out what that sound was. The sound is not loud but it is somewhat annoying. I didn't pay much attention because I was off doing five other things while it was running, but in the future I'll be using it in my work room with the door shut LOL! 5 star product so far
