The Book of Seals & Amulets

Although this is volume 3 in the “Shadow Tree Series,” this was the first book I purchased by Mr. Swart, and I've been using it for almost 4 years now. At the time I purchased it, I was very much a beginner with practical Kabbalah. There is a wealth of well-researched information in this book! I was very aware of how much I didn't know when I began reading this, and it was an exhilarating feeling - not intimidating. Mr. Swart presents the material in an inviting way that engages the reader's interest. If you’re interested in practical Kabbalah, there is plenty in here for you, whether you’re a beginner or very experienced.You'll find information in this book not translated elsewhere. In the last few years I still have yet to see anything published that even begins to compare with the translated material in this volume. This is nothing like many of the contemporary books about Kabbalah that are often a conglomeration of modern trends and romanticized ideas of antiquity. So much of it is junk. Many authentic, Hebrew source works of practical Kabbalah are cited heavily in this book, and the citations are numerous and academically sound. I've used Mr. Swart's chapter bibliographies very often to research cited topics or authors. Two unique features that I found intriguing were this book’s extensive chapter about letter, word and number squares, and its chapter regarding magical seals and alphabets.This book is not only academically sound, it’s useful. A wide range of employable amulets are covered, including protection, dream questioning, and personal prosperity. There are even some that can be employed as a form of Kabbalistic self-defense. While much of the material is focused on amulets, many Names and phrases can be adapted for other uses such as visualization, meditation and chants. I originally bought this volume to help protect myself against the bullying behaviors of coworkers and other belligerent people that I had to encounter on a regular basis. It’s proven useful in that regard, and also for self-development and increased success. You can see in my posted picture that the cover has some wear and tear from repeated use. If you’re interested in this book, also consider his other works. “The Book of Sacred Names” contains a lot of material not covered in "The Book of Seals and Amulets," and both books enhance what you read in the other. I really like studying this book, and highly recommend it.

I enjoyed reading this book very much. I wanted to find an amulet that would help me succeed with a financial goal that I'm unable to reach through hard work alone. Be aware that much of this book focuses on fertility, safe childbirth, health and protection amulets. Only a small portion of the book gives information about wealth and success amulets. However, I will use this information to pursue my goals. This is the first book I've ever read about practical Kaballah. I am impressed with the information obtained and have ordered other books by Mr. Swart to learn more.

I would like to thank Mr. Jacobus Gerhardus Swart for his books that enabled me to get me where I wanted to be and that put me on the path I was destined to walk. I highly recommend to follow the exercises in his Book of Self-Creation and use the amulets in the Book of Seals and Amulets. The material in his three books represent huge amount of gathered information from authentic practical kabbalah. The wisdom of this aouthor and the way he presents the content is the best on the market. I own over 50 books on Jewish Mysticism and nothing come close. His three books deserve much bigger visibility and publicity - if followed, the books have the power to transform anyone who follows the and thus they have the power to transform the world. Personally I have perused the amulet for success and quickly became financially free. I also follow the meditation exercises in his Book of Self-Creation. I highly recomment anyone interested in practical kabbalah to get all three books. You won't be sorry.

In this book is presented Seals, amulets and Angel Alphabets - all on how to use them practically for Wealth, Health, happiness etc.It sort of stands as a massive translation of the Hebrew Magical Text 'Shorshei Ha-Shemot'. A rare book to find in English with translations being immensely expensive.Totally worth the 50 dollars. If you're interested in employing Jewish Magic in your life, buy this book.

As an Orthodox Rabbi, I can attest that this book draws upon authentic, real Kabbalistic sources. The book is very comprehensive and yet very readable at the same time. This is a must have for the serious student of Practical Kabbalah. I very much enjoyed it and highly recommend this book.
