Kong Skull Island - 18" Poseable Kong with Figure Action Figure

My friend has always been a big fan of monster movies. King Kong is her favorite. I bought the action figure. At first I wasn't pleased with the purchase because I didn't realize how big it is. I decided to give it a chance. I gave to her. She loved him because he was so big. I paid about $30 for him. Now he is valued more than $100. I made a great deal.

Ordered for grandson's 5th birthday. He tried to describe it and we shopped together on Amazon until we found what he was describing . Two day shipping seems like forever to a little one who wants it now! Needless to say he was thrilled when it arrived. Carried it everywhere and even slept with it. Looked just like it was described and seems pretty sturdy. Doesn't do a lot - arms and legs move - but he doesn't care. Loves it anyway. He carried it to preschool and it got to sit in the office until school was over with the other Kong Mega Figure, so it must be popular with 5 year old boys. . Gave it 5 stars because it was exactly what he wanted and looked just as it was described.

I bought this for my grandson. As soon as we got back from Universal Studios the first thing he wanted was a King Kong toy. He loves this toy. Be sure to read the measurements as it is pretty big. My grandson is 6 and it is big but he loves it.

My 5 year old loves this thing. My only issue with it is that it barely "beats its chest". It claims that it does on the box, but really, you have to (somewhat difficultly) position his arms and it kinda sorta touches his chest when you move his arms up and down. Not anything like you'd expect Kong to do, particularly keeping in mind that the beating of his chest is his signature move. He is a bit hard to position in the beginning, frustrating my son, but after awhile he got the hang of the awkward ways you have to turn the body parts to be able to bend and re-position. Overall,, he is big and scary-looking and perfect for fighting dinosaurs.

Sometimes the simplest toys get the most play-time. My 7 year old son saw this and wanted it. I told him, from reading the other reviews, it doesn't do much - just arms, legs, and head movements. And it comes with a small military looking figure to conquer Kong. We bought it anyway. Well, this toy is reached for constantly - in the morning before school, in the afternoon after homework is done. My son has used an ipod to do "videos" of Kong in action..... used Kong to step on LEGO city..... his other action figures (Ironman, Capt. America, Hulk) are used to capture Kong... So he is using other toys incorporating play with Kong. I have to say it has sparked imagination and for really a simple toy by today's standards, it is quite useful here.

My grandson likes King Kong. This one really fit the bill. It’s a bit heavy but it’s well made. My boy will grow into this suitably scary toy.

My son loves Kong. We watch Skull Island daily and he knows the movie by heart. He likes his Kong toy but its way too heavy to play with. My son is very strong for his age. He's only 3 but he can easily grab and hold a gallon of milk with one hand. The Kong is awkward to manipulate with other toys when my son tries to reenact the fight scenes from the movie. For now Kong just stands in one spot. It does stand well, I'll give it that.

This King Kong toy was bought to replace the original one I bought my son around the release of Skull Island. He loved playing with it. Unfortunately the joint where the feet connect with the main body is weak and after some typical child play it gave way and broke allowing for first one foot then the other to come off. The line was clearanced at Walmart and I could have bought a replacement for less but didn't. This one came as advertised in great condition and my son loves it although it is now for "Display purposes only" he says. I would definitely recommend buying it again to anyone.

The quality of the toy is great and above expectation. My son loves it! The delivery arrived 3 days earlier.
