Just what I needed
I was looking for something to support an 8-channel keyboard mixer on a stand and this is perfect. I'm using the base of an old music stand with the pole from a mic boom inserted and this "table" attached. It is perfect. I'm not sure why people would write to the quality of this. It's fine. Heavyweight and solid. The clamp may be a bit small for the bottom pole of a standard mic stand but who cares? Just attach it to the upper part right above the connection. Some folks also wrote how the stand would tip over and all I can say is use a better stand. The Hercules music stand base holds this with the mixer on it (and 10 cables hanging from it) with no issue at all.

Works great!
I bought this for the Bose Tonematch because the reviews for the clip for it were abysmal. It works very well. The bracket was too small for one mic stand I normally like to use and was even snug on the second but I got it to work and it's solid when it's on. Well made and looks like it should last a while. Bought some velcro so I could make sure my little mixer didn't fall off if the mic stand was bumped. Well worth it.

Seems very sturdy
I bought this in order to have some extra storage space on my music stand. I use a TASCAM DP-008 to capture those rare, impromptu moments of brilliance when I am practicing, and I wanted to keep it within arm's reach. The first thing I noticed when this shelf arrived was how heavy it is for its size--it feels like it weighs about 3 pounds. I look at this as a positive feature, in terms of its build quality. Everything is metal except for the screw heads used to adjust the telescoping support and attach to the music/mic stand. (The screws themselves are metal, but the piece you grip is plastic.) The piece that attaches to the stand will take up to a 13/16 inch diameter (20mm), and the support at the bottom allows you to position the platform from .5 inches to 2.5 inches away from the stand. The only drawback I can see to the weight is that if you are using a lightweight mic stand with fold out legs, it might make your setup a bit top heavy. This definitely would not work on one of those small metal fold-up music stands you used in grade school--it is far too heavy for one of them. In terms of size, it's an 8.5 in square. My DP-008 fits on it, though it rests on the edges of the shelf as opposed to the flat surface. I could also see this being used at an open mic to give performers a place to set down their notes, extra pics, capos, etc. Overall I think this shelf would stand up to its fair share of abuse if you were to use it at performances. It is certainly more than adequate for home use.

Ok, but not as useful as expected.
This device will only fit mic stands, and it's platform can only be repositioned sideways, and up and down. You can't tilt the platform. It's quite heavy. Would have been nice if the platform were a little wider to hold things like an ipad or laptop. You might be able to hold a mini laptop, but barely.I suppose you could put your lunch on it at rehearsals. LOLWould have also been nice to be able to clamp to larger diameter objects.I don't like the screw clamp as there's nothing to keep the bolt from scratching the surface of your stand. I'd recommend putting a plastic or rubber cap on the end of the bolt.

Should Have Bought One Years Ago
Great item. Built like a tank. As was said by others, the opening on the clamp does not fit the bottom part of a regular mic stand, but it does fit the smaller extension part of the stand that you use to raise the mic from your belly to your lip zone. That puts it at a great height for most people. It has an adjustment to allow you to place it closer to you. If you use a big pedalboard or have lots of junk on the floor, you can position your stand away from your feet and bring the tray out so you can reach it.It will not serve you drinks or make you play any better, but if you need a place for picks, cheat sheet, or a place for your slide or e-bow, this little stand tray is the bomb.

Great table, needs better clamp
I play guitar, banjo, and Dobro on stage and have to make some really quick changes and this platform works great for holding all the gear right where I need it. I tried using pockets and a stand pick holder, but this is much easier and keeps my pockets free of capos, slides, and the like. I put gaff tape over the face to keep it from making too much noise when I toss metal pieces on it.I agree with some of the other comments that the clamp needs a better design. If you fiddle with it enough you can find a sweet spot where it won't fail, but I don't trust a water bottle on the far edge as it as slowly drooped during a show. The only bad experience I had was at a very reflective symphony hall I accidentally set a slide down a little harder than normal during a show and the clamp shifted and it began to slip. Then CRASH right in the middle of very quiet song, and gear went sliding all across the stage. Really embarrassing, but out of a 29 date tour it was the only time that happened.

Convenient for mini-ipc computing
I liked the first one a lot and just bought a second. I used it on a boom-mic style easy chair monitor stand and plan to use it on a standing display monitor floor stand as well. A little fanless computer and few accessories sit nicely on the tray out of the way but in easy cable reach of the monitor. Works great for my purpose, and heavy duty enough to trust putting computing equipment on it. I haven't needed to fix anything like other reviewers have for these stands, but have had to do similar screw tap or clamp spacer maintenance on other equipment.
