This is my FAVORITE "drug store bleach" on the market, and I've tried 5-6 different ones. After finishing college and having a hard time finding a career, I decided to cut back on all my "luxury" expenses, like nails, salon etc and started doing my highlights myself. I have naturally wavy light brown hair and this was easy to use and looked good! After using it several times I have definitely learned some tips and tricks and I'm not sure why, but it almost always gives me quality results. One time I left it on too long and it did turn my hair kind of orange, but that was my fault. It's also a great price! So if you are looking for a DIY easy to use bleaching kit and have darker hair, this might be a great fit for you!

I color my hair all the time. I am not trained in any way but have done a long time trial by error. I usually mix my powder with a developer but was looking to get a darker color that I did not like out of my hair and had to run to the store to get what I could. This was one of the only bleach boxes you can get at CVS or Walgreens. I did not have high hopes but was pleasantly surprised. It worked very fast on my hair which was bleached blond under a dark brown. I ended up doing an Ombre type look not to ruin my hair but to give it dimension. If you are in a situation as I was watch the color closely because it worked very fast on mine, cutting through a darker color to reveal the blonde under it. If you leave too long your hair will burn. Be sure to follow up with protein filler to keep your hair healthy. Not a professional.

Product works successfully as it is advertised with extra work and products. I naturally have dark blonde/ brown hair and have tried multiple times with box kits to lighten my hair and it never works. This kit really does include actual bleach and it does in fact lift to a blonde but I achieved this without following the directions with extra products and two kits. First round: did not use the brush in kit. Used gloves and applied product myself to different parts of my hair i left on for 30 minutes. It lifted a little but as other reviews mention my hair was extremely brassy and orange tinted where it was applied. I did not like it at all. Round 2: second kit ordered this time i also used butterfly clips to section out layers so that they would come out even, i also used foil to wrap each section i did. This was time consuming. I left the second round on for twice as long (about 1 hour) and noticed my hair had lifted but still brassy. Round 3: hair still very orange tinted and brassy in some sections. Went and picked up blonde toner beauty supply store and applied to whole head left on for 40 min = miracle. The brassiness was gone and my hair is now equipped with beautiful blonde highlights. The look I achieved would have cost me around 350$ at the salon so for about 70$ I did it. I would test your hair out before diving in but i am happy with my results. Also bought purple toning shampoo + conditioner to use after but doesn't work unless hair is light. First picture before the toner and after toner on the right.

My favorite hair bleach. It doesn’t burn your scalp. It’s nice and gentle but works. I use it for my roots before using other Colorista dye.

Always lightens my medium brown hair to a nice white. It takes 2 boxes, one to get it to a light orange/peach and another to get it white. Does dry my hair out and cause damage with too many uses.

Easy application and the results were spectacular! Base color is Madison Reed 5NNA Dark Neutral Blonde (Lusia Blonde) and use this highlighter kit over. Will buy again! At home hair color saves me $350 which I would spend at the salon. You got this! Try it, you won’t be disappointed!!!!

My daughter wanted to dye her hair a fun, bright color she found at Sally Beauty Supply. She purchased the only box of this bleach they had on the shelf so I purchased two more boxes of this bleach from Amazon to make sure we had enough for her thick hair. I applied the two Amazon boxes on the length of her hair and after nearly an hour with no noticeable lightening we were forced to apply the box from Sally Beauty to the roots so we could rinse her hair out ASAP to avoid damaging it. In under 15 minutes her roots were bright white (which is how this product is SUPPOSED to work). After rinsing completely we were left with an absolute MESS of pale roots and varying degrees of browns everywhere else on her head. I planned to share images of the results but my daughter is too devastated to sit for pictures. I called Sally Beauty to ask what could have caused such a thing to happen and she said the boxes we ordered were either very old or were kept in extreme temperatures. I am beyond angry and feel obligated to warn others NOT to order this product online because there’s no way to know if you’ll end up with the same mess.
