Great low cost controller with working sound
The LCD controller works exactly as advertised. Some have mentioned not getting the sound to work, but I didn't have any issues. I wired up 2x 4-Ohm speakers that I salvaged from a broken laptop, connected the display to my phone via a USB to HDMI dock, and turned on music. I can't speak much to the sound quality as my test setup had long cables, bad joins, and unknown speakers, but the sound did work. There is also a case that can be 3d printed on thingiverse under pcb800661.

Inverter doesn't work
The inverter output gives 0V. I tested many times, seems to be missing a capacitor.....it's essentially a broken piece of hardware that I can't return because I finally got around to working on this project many month after the order. Beware!!!

Works as intended, but limited information
The good! This product did exactly as intended, and controls the screen that I pulled out of a G71 laptop. The bad? There is some details that don't add up. The product was labeled VS-TY2660H-V1 but it does not match the design in the pdf listed on their own website.Mine was also missing the audio port (some others had a similar issue) and there are a few jumpers that I don't know what they do so even when I added wires for the speakers, the output still didn't work (as it was likely disabled via jumpers). I could not find a datasheet for it as it doesn't match the part number they listed and so I couldn't re-enable the audio output. All in all, good product. I did not even realize it had audio pass thru from the hdmi when I bought it so I'm not too upset by that, but it would be neat if I could get an accurate datasheet.

Works well
I was able to give a second life to a laptop LCD for a project I have in the van for the Kids.I'm using that with a 12v car adapter to power a LCD hooked up to a raspberry Pi for the kids to play games or watch videos.I guess I could also use a firestick too.

Worked great for N154I2-L02 Laptop Monitor
I had an old laptop that wouldn't work anymore. I was able to salvage the screen thanks to this. Works great! The remote didn't have a battery included, so I couldn't test that yet.

Doesn't work for Dell Inspiron 6400, no documentation
Plugged into Dell Inspiron 6400 screen (B154EW01) that displayed BIOS before and after attempted install. Tried higher amperage 12V power supply as recommended on product page, no change.Amazon sent replacement, no change. No documentation so perhaps could be as simple as a jumper setting?2 stars instead of one for Amazon free return and apparent quality construction.

Easy and functional; remote needs battery
Simple to plug into my old gateway notebook screen (Samsung LTN140W2-L01). Connect the LCD CCFL plug and the 30-pin ribbon and connected to a 12VDC 2.5A laptop power block. Display lit up and power and menu buttons worked. Connected a Raspberry Pi Zero to the HDMI and have a functional computer from old broken laptop parts. Please note the remote control will need a coin battery if you want to use it. I would like to see how to breakout the audio off the HDMI line.
