I purchased this items because my husband loves Chess... This item was packaged well and nothing was cracked or broken when I received this package....

This chess set is pretty cheaply made. It was short one white bishop and had an extra white knight in its place. Some of glass edges are unfinished and sharp. And the felt stickers don’t all stay in the bottom of the pieces.

Quite a few pieces were chipped and the soft felt on the bottoms are only half way on. The set looks good but it is poor quality. I kept mine and plan to use it. Looks nice on my glass table.

I like it, but it's not perfect. The pieces have tiny ridges on the side from top to bottom, pretty much impossible to see but you definitely feel the ridges when you handle the pieces. It would also be really great to have thicker pieces of felt on the bottom, as the felt is so thin that some of the pieces clink against the board despite the felt. An okay purchase for the price though in my opinion. Looks very nice, just like in the picture.

The black pieces are painted. The paint comes off the pieces in flakes even when they're handled gently. This continued to happen for more than a week after purchasing.
