Amajiji 8.27" Women Folding Fan Hand Fan,Chinease/Japanese Vintage Retro Style (Red)

This replaced a cheap folding fan that I got at Pier One years ago which finally started falling apart. This is my portable air conditioner and I never go anywhere without it. All you ladies who suffer from hot flashes know what a life saver something like this can be, especially when you are stuck somewhere and can't just go plant yourself in front of an electric fan or air conditioning vent or even escape outside for a few minutes. I was on a crowded commuter train once in the middle of summer and a few minutes into the ride home a major hot flash hit. I immediately got out my fan and soon felt much needed relief. I caught the eye of a woman sitting nearby who looked like she was also suffering from a bad hot flash. She looked so miserable and she looked at me and my fan with so much envy it was palpable. This fan is well made and beautiful. I love that it comes with the protective sleeve since I carry it in my purse wherever I go and my purse's contents get jumbled around quite a bit. The only thing I didn't like was the tassel because it swung around a lot while using the fan and it annoyed me so I cut it off. Other than that, it's perfect.

The fan itself has a beautiful design but as you can see, it’s very see through so if you’re expecting a vibrant color that’s not what you’re going to get. Since the material is kind of porous, it doesn’t do such a great job of catching air while fanning either. It’s a bit delicate so I would probably only use it for decoration or posing for photos. Also, the tassel on mine was very ugly and mangled looking so I ended up taking it off. Overall pretty fan, good for photos but not very sturdy or a good value for the price.

Nice, sturdy, attractive fan. I ordered one for me a blue one several months ago and am back ordering another one for my granddaughter, who keeps saying she wants one. She's a cutie and this fan will be perfect for her.

Its very sturdy i do have to say but thats the only positive thing about this. Im glad i didn't pay more then $10 for it because then it wasn't worth the money. I was expecting a beautiful solid cobalt blue fan with flowers on it instead its not cobalt blue at all its more of a darker navy blue. It looks as if it was just printed on paper and the fabric is made out of is very stiff when you close the fan it tends to not want to close at all. Also, it is very see through if you were looking for more of a solid fan you might wanna look again. The plastic parts are very cheap and feel like its going to break under a little pressure if stepped on or you dont notice you were leaning on it. Glad i bought this only to use it to dry my or friends makeup when i do it. If i wasn't using it for that I would look at more expensive ones.
