Kingston ValueRAM 2GB 800MHz DDR2 Non-ECC CL6 DIMM Desktop Memory

I have a computer I put together some time ago (2 years?). I decided to refurbish it by replacing the hard drive (40 GB, I think) with a new one (1 TB; of course that meant doing a clean install of Windows XP) and adding a second 2 GB DIMM. With a larger C: partition (with only the OS on it) and more RAM (the system sees 3.35 GB of RAM which is simply fine) the machine runs faster and software has fewer hiccups. The Kingston ValueRAM is just as good as the Crucial DIMM in the computer. I'm totally pleased.

My Core 2 Duo PC already uses 4-GB's of RAM. (showing 3-GB's in use) I always choose Kingston RAM. E7500 cpu. 4 x 1-GB With the new Windows[tm] 10 coming next month, I am going to use the 64-bit installation. Adding 4 x 2-GB's for 8-GB's of total installed RAM. (showing 7.96 Gb's in use) My motherboard is a DG45ID. I built this PC with parts I bought from Amazon. It is an excellent computer. I need the RAM upgrade for my Adobe software--really nothing else. I expect my camera's to also gain from this move. === July 15, 2015 Works great. I let the PC load the 64-bit installation. With 4-Gb's of RAM. When the 64-bit updates appeared, The 4-GB's failed. I installed the 8-Gb's RAM and continued. (x64 system updates) I think it was 155-updates. Its taking up 20-GB's of Sys. C:/drive space. So, now I am up grading my System drive=240GB's. SSD (import and editing--and rendering) $112.00 and Free Shipping.

I have no complaints about this RAM. Installation was as easy as just plugging it in and turning the computer on. My system reconized the 4 gbs I installed and just booted up. I replaced the 2 gbs that came with my pc to 4 of this RAM and noticed quite a difference in performance in Windows XP and esspecially in Star Craft 2, which is the main reason for my upgrade. Can't beat the price!

I needed the low profile of the pictured RAM module and ordered it. I received a full height module which is not compatible with my itx-PC housing. Datasheet of Kingston reveals in retrospect: QUOTE Note: The module defined in this data sheet is one of several configurations available under this part number. While all configurations are compatible, the DRAM combination and/or the module height may vary from what is described here. However, in no configuration will the module height exceed 1.250" (31.75mm). END QUOTE Disappointed that I could not order what was pictured & what I needed. I live outside the US so returning for refund or replacement is not economical. I lose either way.

Got these to upgrade from 2GB to 4GB RAM on my Acer desktop (M460) running on XP SP3, an older machine that I'm using. The old RAM cards set I had in the computer were also by Kingston. I only have two slots available and the cards have to be matched pairs (1x1 or 2x2). After I got these installed onto my motherboard, I powered the tower back up and booted up the machine. The additional memory was automatically reflected (although it indicates there's now 3.24GB of RAM instead of being close to 4GB. Not sure why there's a 3/4 gig discrepancy. The previous 2GB RAM cards read 1.99GB). I'll test further to see if the additional RAM really improves performance. A tip on installing the cards into the slots: If the 2nd card won't seat easily into the second slot, try swapping out with the other card. I think the memory cards may vary slightly in length and the slot tabs on the motherboard may not be of equal distance apart.

I bought this to replace a dead RAM stick in my computer. The price was cheap and it works properly. Though I cannot comment on the speed of it, it has done everything I need it to do with no delays and no problems so far. For the price, its tough to beat and unless you are looking for more expensive high performance RAM, this is a good buy for the money.

I tried some of the cheap memory from the bargain suppliers first. You get what you pay for at the cheap memory had errors on 6 out of 7 memory chips. I decided to order Kingston memory and it worked great the first time and ran at the 800mhz speed it was specified to operate at. I recommend this as a quality product.

I bought two sticks of these both of them have kingston stickers and one has kingston written on the black memory modules but the other says ELPIDA on it...is this normal? Did they send me a different brand ram stick and just slap on a kingston sticker on it? I really hope not because I have HyperX ram and I love it. Well guess its time to start researching it. EDIT: These are both Genuine Kingston sticks and these are AWESOME!!! My review from before has been answered by DataRam and these are kingston ram and the seller was quick for response back and they sent it fast.

I am using 2gb ram cpu from past 7 years and as I am playing pubg many of my friends are playing in pc via pubg emulator and I also wanted to play pubg in pc but due to lack of money I went for this 2gb DDR2 Ram from kingston and now my total ram is 4gb , as the pubg emulator requires min 3gb ram 4gb is good. - The benefit are now the pc boot up time has reduced quite a bit - The pc now runs more smoother than before - App load time has also decreased - 100% value for money - I earlier went in local shop to buy Ddr2 ram but the price was very high as compared to this one - One important thing is that if your cpu is very old and you do not have any graphic card installed than with 4gb also the emulator won't be able to run the game on pc, you must have powerful processor and capable graphic card installed on your pc to run the game smoothly. - I purchased this product from A1Price A1Products seller and received genuine brand new product but many recent customer have started receiving fake ram and used one also , SO BEWARE OF OTHER SELLER AND THEIR PRODUCT Go for it guys as this is the cheapest and genuine product to buy right now and it comes from the brand like kingston so you don't have to worry 👍👌
