I needed something to watch my old videos on and didn't feel like getting my old 24" JVC CRT out, as my smart tv doesn't have a Scart socket on it, so I ordered the Scart to HDMI converter. After it's prompt arrival I plugged it in using the easy to follow instructions. I selected the 1080P option for Put a tape in my player and pressed play. Immediately a picture came up See attached image. now all I need to do is get the cassette head cleaner out. To sum up a nice, reasonable priced worthwhile item.

Have some old videos on VHS (transferred from 8m digital) which we watch occasionally. To be honest whilst the quality seemed fine on an older 21" TV on a 40" TV its not great using a SCART but its nice to watch them. One day will get them transferred to DVD. But in the meantime we plan to upgrade the lounge TV and new ones do not have a SCART so it creates an issue. Bought this device, fitted it and hey presto, VHS via an HDMI. Quality the same a SCART and regardless of 720 or 1080 setting it still the same, basically its no different to SCART and totally acceptable. Just one thing though. Description says the device is 3ft long but its only 2 ft. It also says the HDMI is 3.3 ft long, its not, its only 3 ft. This caused me an issue since the video is 6 ft from the HDMI on the TV, a foot too short. Luckily I had a longer HDMI which sorted the issue (along with a longer USB cable for power) but buyers should take this into account.

Unfortunately, didn't work with my old monitor and freeview box, so returned immediately. I think the product is fine. Its my equipment that is the issue.

Fantastic delivery, did'nt know how to plug it in at first but grandson saved the day. It was easy to install and connected my very old Toshiba dvd player to my new Hisense tv with no trouble.

We bought this so that we could still watch our videos on our new TV. It didn't work. We tried every socket that the VCR had into every socket the TV had. Nothing worked. Whilst we could probably buy the videos in DVD format for the commercial ones, we also have home movies that we cannot replace. It is very disappointing.

Excellent product. I bought it so that I could continue to use a Video Player. It is consequently not in regular use. I had to replace the HDMI cable as the one supplied was too short to connect to the wall mounted TV.
