Must have for licorice fans. Just a little pricey.
If you are a licorice lover, these are an absolute must. They are ridiculously expensive, and the size of the bag was a little shocking when I got it but the flavor of these little treats more than made up for the sticker shock. My ultimate go to salty licorice is still the Katjes salted fish licorice but these are now a close second. The taste at first is a little hard to describe, it almost taste like a tinge of chocolate, but then the licorice really comes in strong. The salt is very moderate so it’s not overpowering like some of the European salted licorice can be. Overall, this is a great treat, highly recommend it.

A very tasty treat in moderation
I love it. Its unique flavor was confusing for a moment but IMHO it great. Not overly salty or sweet, it forms a nice cohesive flavor as you chew. I will continue to purchase.

Delicious!
Slightly salty and the flavor is mild. Not sticky, but that $8.00 bag is too small! My complaint is not with the quality, it’s too expensive!

it is real licorice flavor, but salty
after a trip to Iceland, I fell in love with real licorice flavored candy. Especially mixed with chocolate. Really can’t find anything comparable in the United States so I tried these. I think they’re fine, but it is a bit salty, which throws off the flavor for me. But if it’s exactly what you’re looking for, salt, chocolate, and real licorice then it may be your cup of tea. Just keep in mind it is real licorice flavor so it is very distinct.

Like salty Good and Plenty with a better texture
I knew what I was getting in to, and was pretty sure I'd like it - and I was right. Texture is nice - soft and chewy, without that rubbery feeling a lot of "stuffed rope" type candies have. Despite all the salt and sugar dust (and you can hear it if you shake the bag), it doesn't have a gritty/sandy texture like a lot of sour candies or things like fruit slices do. Flavor is pretty good - black licorice and molasses are a good combo, and the salt helps offset all the sweetness and skews it towards a sort of salted caramel flavor profile. Is the price a bit high for what it is? Maybe. It's imported, needs to be kept cool and dry, and is a niche product in this market. But, considering the next closest things on this site are half again as much or more, it's pretty reasonable to see if this kind of thing is for you.
