The product, promptly delivered, has a "use by" date of 9/23 and tastes fresh. So 5 stars on the delivery! Much data is available about Red Algae's potential health benefits, including that in Taoofherbs.com, which alleges that among the ~4000 species of red marine algae only 25 contain a significant amount of sulphated polsaccharides - "the keys to activate the immune response." Of these, Dumontiaceae and Gigartina are "the two most actively potent strains of Red Marine Algae." D&G allegedly help the human immune system control and reduce the herpes virus. Last year, at 4 a day, I took a total of 180 capsules. Then I quit. Maybe they helped. Can't tell. I want to try again. If they help me feel better, a 5th star is in order. So far so good.
