GLASS BOTTLE, NO FISHY SMELL, just what I was looking for.
I'm sold! I bought cod liver oil for my little Russian Blue before...a couple of times...and I stuck to what I bought the first time when I purchased the second time. However, I started reading about cod liver oil and how it should NOT smell fishy. I didn't know. Therefore, I started looking at reviews and different brands. I also am drawn to glass bottles. I know everything consumed or used on our bodies is MUCH better in a glass bottle, that plastics are toxic. I know I smell plastics, and if they stink, I won't use them.It was not clear to me that this was a glass bottle, but looking at the photo, it looked like it could be. I was VERY pleased to find out, IT'S GLASS!!! The lid is the lightweight metal type that has the vertically perforated bottom that hugs the glass but will expand to remove and replace. I read that some people complained about the lid, but I figured I'd find a lid that fit if I didn't like the oil. I bought it for my kitty, as I've not done well using cod liver oil personally. However, this one has NO FISHY SMELL! That, alone, sells me on the next purchase. The size, for the money, it's more expensive, but how valuable is our health? Since my little kitty loves it...and she is VERY picky...I shall give it a thumbs up. I'd say it's very effective with her. I've noticed her eating more, her appetite picking up. The size of the bottle is great for what I'm using it for right now. I think I'm going to give this brand a try for myself, too! NO FISHY? Just wow!

Pleasant to take, better for freshness & safety, cost is in keeping with other options
I tried Carlson's Fish Oil after hearing it praised as a quality source of Omega 3s by a couple of health gurus on YouTube. I have included Omega 3s in my health care routine for well over 20 years. I used to take fish oil softgels, and then moved to krill oil softgels and vegan/algae softgels. These were always 'fine' to take. Neutral taste, sometimes a bit large to swallow. When I tasted the Carlson's I was surprised that it was actually pleasant to take! It is smooth, with a very mild lemony taste - it smells, tastes, and feels pure and clean. Having it chilled due to refrigerator storage enhances the pleasurable experience.Only once during the last 20 years have I experienced omega 3 products going bad, but it is an experience I prefer never to have again! I feel safer with Carlson's as a source -- I expect any changes would be easier to detect in a liquid than in softgels, and the risk of going bad should be minimized by keeping the bottle refrigerated. While I have grown accustomed to the high costs of some Omega 3 products, I did feel a bit of sticker shock when I saw the cost of this bottle of Carlson's. I decided to do a mathematical comparison. Not all the products I looked at reported total mgs of Omega 3s, but they did report total mgs per serving of EPA, DHA, and some included DPA. I calculated the cost per teaspoon of Carlson's and the cost per softgel for the others (from Subscribe & Save prices), then divided that amount by the total mg of (EPA + DHA + DPA) reported to be available in a softgel or teaspoon, to obtain the cost for 1 mg of the healthful components I was seeking. I looked at three brands of Krill Oil because I had previously compared those three and had the data. The costs were:$0.00311 for 1 mg of EPA/DHA --------- Krill Oil (Brand 1) - also reports phospholipids & aztaxanthin$0.00270 for 1 mg of EPA/DHA --------- Krill Oil (Brand 2) - also reports choline, phospholipids & aztaxanthin$0.00230 for 1 mg of EPA/DHA --------- Krill Oil (Brand 3) - also reports phospholipids & aztaxanthin$0.00142 for 1 mg of DHA/DPA --- Vegan/algae sourced omega 3s$0.00029 for 1 mg of EPA/DHA/DPA --- Carlson's Fish Oil liquid$0.00022 for 1 mg of EPA/DHA/DPA --- High quality brand of Fish Oil softgelsI am personally shooting for about 2 grams of EPA per day and about 2 grams of DHA per day. That is probably going to require some combination of the above. I have decided, though, that Carlson's Fish Oil liquid is going to be the base of my omega 3 protocol.

I'm shocked I can take this right off a spoon!
Anyone who knows me, know that I hate all things seafood! I do not eat seafood and can't stand the smell. When my Omega-3 Index and several other biomarkers came back 'out of range', I knew I had to start taking Omega 3's.After a lot of research, I landed on Carlson which has a great reputation and is even taken by some well-known longevity experts. I hate taking large pills, so I decided that the liquid was best for me. I initially put it in my smoothies, but based on some other reviews, decided to try it right out of the bottle onto a teaspoon. This stuff is really tasty, and the orange flavor is great! I actually look forward to taking it 2x/day. I have put this on subscribe and save and this will be a lifelong supplement for me!

Increases skin moisture and no more monthly blood clotting
I have been a purchaser of this particular product for almost 20 years. I decided I would get back on it because my skin is dry as I am getting older. 62. I have only been taking it almost a week and my hands already look so much better and I do not use hand lotion. Never have. I wore contacts all my life and any grease on my hands would just muck up a contact lens.If you are a woman and looking at reviews regarding your monthly, if you have clotting I will tell you this product works for that and I only figured this out by accident. I won't be too detailed explanatory here but I can't help but believe fish oil, i can only attest to this particular product, that it cleared up clots, and if it did that then maybe it acts as a blood thinner. I would certainly try this over warfarin especially, or any blood thinner. Do your research. I'm not a doctor but I know what it has done for me. No clots and increase moisture in skin.

It's the Berry for me!
I've tried both the lemon and berry flavors now. I need something that does not remind me of fish with a strong fishy aftertaste. The berry wins. I wash it down with coffee or whatever I am drinking and forget about it for the rest of the day.

Omg love Carlsons
Love Carlson fish oil. Clean clear in taste & purity. My guy didn't care for lemon but I love it. It was a small bottle though so I understand this is a high value item but dang its a small bottle

no aftertaste
I have tried other products in capsule form and experienced an after taste , inability to digest the capsules. I have been using this product for about 3 years and have no digestion issues . The taste is neutral .
