Rattles a little, even when phone installed, but only during the roughest road conditions. Good buy, no regrets

Stays in place
This attaches to your AC vent, so you do have to close the vent near the phone, but I am able to leave the other vents open. It stays on the vent well and holds the phone in place. The other phone holders for my car did not work because the piece that glues onto the dashboard wouldn't stay on for more than a few weeks. i'm very happy with this purchase. I order on Amazon a lot but have very little time to review the products I buy. I do take time to review the ones I like.

Too basic, flimsy, better available for cheaper
Flimsy, rubber prong that holds it to vents are not very strong and should be able to tighten/clamp. Phone holding grips should be able to tighten and have a release button. This is an item you woukd buy in an emergency from a convenience store or truck stop for $5.99. I was able to find the one I bought 5 years ago and rebought a 2 pack for not much more than this single unit
