I bought two of these to wear on a witch hat for a fall steampunk Halloween costume. They did have a strong odor, so I hung them on a clothesline in my laundry room to air out for several weeks (which I do for most of my Amazon purchases). They look beautiful on the hat and will be perfect for the costume. I am very pleased with this purchase.
