Durability at its best
I bought these mirrors in 2018 for 2006 chevy silverado 1500. Since Amazon keeps track of previous orders I'm able to give this review a little over 5 1/2 years later. I hit a mailbox at like 35 miles per hour. The mailbox was one of those plastic ones and upon driving back i assess the damage. I realized there was none, but the mirror scratches were hardly noticeable.I saw my mirror was hanging, so I didn't need to exit my truck to see the mailbox. I never looked at the mirror other than seeing where the actual mirror separated from the mirror base and was just hanging. Well finally I got to my destination to get out and look, thinking I'd need to order a new set. Well, the mirror was just hanging and only needed to be "snapped" back into place. The reflecting part of the mirror didn't shatter nor brake. Very happy with the set of mirrors to this day. They now sell for like 40ish bucks. Yet I'd purchase again.Sorry no picture of the mirror separation. I'd have to unsnap and resnap. Was just ready to see, asses and i guess fix.

Better than expected
First up, I really expected these mirrors to be lower quality. For the price I gave, I was expecting something less. But they are nice! They are every bit as good as the OEM and maybe a bit better. Super easy install, (for you guys in the other reviews that say this is a two person job, ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN AND ONE PERSON IS PLENTY). They were also very well packaged in individual boxes with bubble sleeves and no-scratch bags, even had rubber protectors on the studs. Came with new retaining nuts and new insulator panels (make sure you pop out the blanks on the insulation foam, don't just stab the studs through it or the mirror might set weird). They are solid on the interstate, they don't shake, even when telescoped out. The top and bottom mirrors adjust individually so you can see your blind spot and your trailer tires. They also fold in and out with internal hard stops that keep them from hitting the truck.

I don’t write reviews but these are that bad i had to
So first off I would not buy these again. I waste money like crazy and don’t regret it but buying these i feel like i wasted money and i regret it. Pay a little bit more and get better ones. To start off when i opened the passenger side mirror i noticed the thing the nut screws onto was bent so i tried adjusting it a little and it completely snapped off, then installing the passenger side mirror on my 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 when i put the nut on and tightened it down barely much at all that one snapped off so the mirror was being held on by one nut. Now moving to the driver side, nothing was wrong with the installation but the mirror itself does not move enough to have any field of view but the back window. Anything over 60 miles per hour and the mirror folds in, when you close the door the mirror folds in. The mirror shakes like crazy going down the road. I went out and spent the extra money like i should have to begin with a week later and got new mirrors. Not worth it in my opinion.

Tow Mirrors
These mirrors are great! They were easy to install and look great. I can see so much better out of these mirrors than I could out of the awful, factory Chevy mirrors. I own several trailers I back up often, including my boat. I needed good mirrors so I could see to do so and these mirrors didn't disappoint! They're also nice and steady while flying down the interstate. Worth every penny!

Pleasantly surprised
I was a little surprised to receive a heavy box because these mirrors had been described as cheap. I guess the actual glass does have a slight cheap appearance in the craftsmanship compared to the original mirrors, it's not that noticeable and they work fine. However, when fully extended, there is more vibration which slightly distorts the view.I only replaced the passenger mirror first to compare and I wish the wide angle on passenger mirror was the larger one instead of the small one, i got used to it quickly. Then I replaced the driver's mirror and I love it. I love the larger overall size of the mirrors and the vertical height. The driver's side mirror requires more head movement than the passenger's because it is further out. So, if a driver requires the seat to be fully forward, this could be very difficult to adjust to as it requires more than a glance, it's interesting that I had never thought of that. These mirrors will fold out and fold in which is wonderful. They do need something reflective so I have ordered some reflective tape.Overall, these mirrors are wonderful considering the lower price. ($80) I am very glad that I ordered them. They make my truck look better. I just hope I don't accidentally whack them off.
