Works great and easy to use
I was hesitant to purchase an “off brand” OSSC, but so far this thing has been rock solid. I was able to upgrade the firmware with no problem and it works great via SCART with the six different consoles with which I use it.

It works! My retro SNES hook up to my new Samsung TV. Good quality video & sound output.

Almost perfect
Converts whatever picture you put into this into a hdmi format, perfect for modern tvs. However this is not your average video convertor device, so before you go for one of these things make sure you know what you're doing or at least do some research.I've not tested every feature, but the easiest way to get a retro Av picture into this thing (old VHS systems and games consoles) is to get an Av to rgb scart WIRE connector for whatever device you're trying to connect. BEAR IN MIND THAT NOT ALL SCART LEADS ARE RGB(the red/white/yellow wire variety won't work)It's a good bit of kit with a lot of potential if you know how to use all it's features. The only let down is the picture often gets covered by the device changing or detecting settings on the fly. Old games consoles like the PlayStation 1 & 2 often change video resolutions mid game for example and the device will literally show you the setting differences onscreen instead of just the image. Hopefully there's a setting I haven't found to turn it off.But my biggest concern personally is the build quality. This thing has a lot of open holes in it almost like a half open up pc. Yeah it can be nice to see the insides of a tech device at times, but not only is this a dust trap waiting to happen, but parts like the scart connector feel a bit flimsy, so I feel I have to treat this thing with extra care and even just pack it in the box competely when it's not in use as a precaution to make sure it lasts longer. I've even read forum threads online about how people just casually will solder the circuit board to repair damages. Good for them except NO NORMAL CONSUMER DOES THINGS LIKE THAT!Tldr: I would like to see a better more sturdy built version of this in the future, but if you have the technical know how? This will get want you want done

Disappointing
I purchased it and had it tested with my American PS2 slim console. It displayed PS2 green tint screen and tried many different options without success.I found that my US PS2 slim needs the right SCART cable Luna output for OSSC from specialist retro gaming cable shop. I purchased it & worked fine with the SCART Luna cable. However OSSC wouldn’t work with my Sony PSP due to green tint display screen and wouldn’t allow me to adjust zooming options on PSP connected into my Samsung tv.I found out that the OSSC is faulty because it would have shown normal display screen in full colours by using YPbzPr options. The OSSC functions and options is disappointing and confusing.I decided to purchase a much better device - framemeister from japan but much more expensive than OSSC.
