I purchased this particular product from several cheaper and various similar options,because it was mentioed as USB powered and not battery powered.but the one I received is just powered by battery.. it was a waste of money..

Worth Its Money
Lights are not very bright, but I was missing a strand of regular tree lights and these ribbons added just enough to fill it out a bit. These don't come with a remote, so I had to switch them on every time manually. But we don't have the lights on most of the time anyways. Considering we had the lights in the tree for a few weeks before christmas and they lasted all the way through then, battery life was pretty good. There's no timer, because we left it on a few nights and they were still on the following morning. However, they were a very cute decoration and I think worth their money.
