I absolutely love these delightful little lids! They are just beautiful! I will definitely keep them in mind as gifts, the quality is superb.The best part has been not needing to prop up the jar off the counter due to the concave curve in the mesh. I used to have problems with molding or weird smells using other flat sprouting lids but so far this has been working really well to keep the sprouts well-aerated and always edible. I like that I can boil them if I run into any weird problems.The mesh is very fine and works even for alfalfa seeds. It's so fine that I've flipped the lid over (so it sticks out instead of in) and used it for a mason jar flour sifter and even a giant cinnamon/sugar shaker at a family gathering. The stamped rings make it super easy to keep these special stainless rings separate from my normal mason jar rings!I highly recommend this set as the highest quality but also the most versatile for other uses!

I've been using these lids constantly for over a month and I haven't seen a bit of rust or even a discoloration on either of them. I've even been putting them on the jars with the mesh curving outward (convex) instead of concave as the instructions say, leaning them on the mesh, and neither lid has dented in any way. If you are looking for something durable, choose these! Also, they allow good air circulation in and out of the jar. My sprout have always grown large and healthy. So if you plan to do lots of sprouting, these are the lids that you will be able to use for a very long time! Yep, they are worth the extra expense! And, no, I wasn't paid to write this review!

These were some of the most expensive sprouting lids I found. I don't want plastic and I was deterred by the cost of these at first, so I bought some other sprouting lids that claimed to be 316 stainless. Those cheaper ones all rusted in the first use, so I sprung for these more expensive ones. I have used them through several cycles now and not a hint of rust. These are true 316ss. These are great quality and it is worth the higher price.

I’ve used these for four years to sprout broccoli sprouts and mung bean sprouts. They been perfect, no rust, good screen size for rinsing and minimal root entrapment. Highly recommended.

I like this product very much. I ordered two lids and two screens and both were of a nice quality stainless steel. I throw away a lot of Lids that have rusted on me now I'm hoping to replace all of them with this stainless steel product. They just tickle me pink. I only gave this product 4 stars cuz one of the lids had a dent in it. The dent didn't diminish the quality of the lid but it would have been nice if it wasn't there. Besides the overall quality of the product was mesmerizing and I really like them.

I hate plastic. I especially hate plastic touching things I am going to put in my or my kid's bodies. These and high quality and work very well.Be sure to keep the bands and the screens together. One time I accidentally used the screen with a standard mason jar band and after a few days it got a few rust spots on it! I realized my error and dug around in the box where we keep our mason jar supplies and found the stainless band and all is well again!
