Q: Can you use the arm more than once ? Or once you put a hole in "vein" does it leak ?

The silicone tubes seal to some extent - but after multiple usages it will start to leak. One can minimize the leakage by minimizing the pressure in the system - in other words by elevating the bag with fluid/fake blood to no more than 3 inches above the mini-arm leakage will be minimized.Always place the arm in a small tray - on top of some tissue paper. We will be adding a full and very realistic arm to complement our Venipuncture Course/kit in the near future - and very affordable (in the region of $99). Trust it helps! Stefan

Q: I'm studying to be a vet tech how similar is drawing animal blood and human blood. Will this kit help me learn?

Hi Alexis - the techniques are very similar or identical! The main difference being the fur of most animals requiring shaving off some of the fur over accessible veins. So - "yes" we have many vet- students using the kit to learn about injection, phlebotomy and IV-techniques. We have included a video "the animal patient" in the course material. Dr Anton

Q: Can you practice on yourself?

The idea is really for the kit being used for simulation training and thus it is not recommended. All items are sterile though - so if you stick yourself by accident there will be no risk of cross infection. Trust this answers your question.

DVD Not included. We replaced the DVD with an online course. We now include a leaflet with every kit that gives you access to the course. If you don't find it then contact us for instructions.
