Bought this for a friend who is planning a trip to Iceland. Appears very informative

A very useful guide for a visit to the island. We took it on a cruise to five ports around Iceland and it was as much use for the history and culture of the country as a physical guide to the places that we visited.

Packed full of every sort of information you will need for your trip, especially if you’re not familiar with the Icelandic vocabulary and place names which can be hard to remember. Invaluable.

As with all Rough Guide books I have had, they tell you what you need to know, from rules and regulations, places to visit off the beaten path that the locals use and various other strange facts of the place you are visiting. Great guide.

I've always loved Rough Guides and it served me well on my trip to Iceland. The highlight of the book showing Jokullsarlon inspired me to visit it on my road trip and it was amazing!
