Good uses
This will be put to good use with all the parades and events here. Cannot wait to design and style it into a great costume. It’s sturdy, flexible, easy to put on, and a great size.

Perfect for 1700’s fashion!
I used this with my Claire Fraser wedding dress that i made. It worked great! Buckled under the weight of the taffeta, but still held shape. I recommend using fabric /fashion tape to keep the cage from slipping if you have a high quality fabric with substantial weight. Lighter/ traditional costume fabric would hold well with nothing additional needed!

Long with tight waist - but easy to modify
So I got this to wear under my skirt to the Ren faire. It holds out my skirt the way I would like, however if you're shorter than probably 5'5" then this is going to be too long (3rd image). I'm about 5'3" for reference.I'm going to shorten it by folding the ribbon over and sewing it in place. The waistband is also very tight. I'm a pretty average medium in US women's sizes, and the waist was almost too tight. However, the elastic is very sturdy so I'm simply going to cut it, surge the edges, and add ties to give it some more give. The construction is simple, but that's a good thing as it'll allow easy modifications to make this work for me.4 stars because of the modifications I'll need to make to fit me, but it's a great shortcut for getting where I want to go.

Light as a feather
Lightweight, collapsible for ease or storing, and give you the gorgeous baroquesque hips you’ve always wanted.I was worried about the one size fits all, but it was perfect. I’m 5’ 6/1/2”, 123 lbs., and roughly a 26” waist. And it easily stretches to accommodate probably double the waist circumference.

Perfect For My Costume
Perhaps I'm the only one who was looking for measurements of this product, as I was actively sewing a costume when I made this purchase and I didn't want to wait for it to arrive to measure out the fabric, so I've provided photos with measurements. Here's to the fellow creatives! 🥂But onto the product review:This did exactly what I needed it to do. I was worried because I saw some reviews saying that it doesn't hold heavy fabric, but I didn't have that issue. The elastic was a good size for me (my waist is 30" when corseted) and it held the fabric the way I needed. I used fairly hefty, wool-lined satin fabric. I'm very happy with the final product (pictured). I wore this four times over the course of one weekend and it held up well with some slight wear and tear, which is to be expected considering the performances I'm doing, but nothing that can't easily be fixed. Love!!

Didn't hold up
cheaply made. Did not last more than a couple of hours with decorative items attached to it. Granted, they were a little bit heavy, I would say in the 2-3 lbs per side range. If you are using these once for a costume or not planning to attach anything they work fine. The waist band is fairly small in proportion to the pannier. If you have a plus sized figure anticipate it being tight around the waist.

Cute as outerwear; kept collapsing under my skirt
It fit well and I liked that it was collapsible for storage. The problem was that it also collapsed under the skirt I was planning to wear, no matter how much I futzed with it.I’ve seen pics of folks wearing it as an outside piece and decorating it with lights, fabric, etc. and I think this would have worked really well for that…I just had different costuming needs this time around. If I were a better seamstress, I’d probably have been able to figure out how to shore it up to work under a long, full skirt (one reviewer did something with curtain fabric and looked absolutely stunning), but since I do not have the time or the talent for that, back it went. All of that to say: it could be a super cute and workable piece; it just depends on what you need it for and how crafty you are.

Not great, do not recommend if trying to use more than once.
I wanted to love this. It wasn't too uncomfortable. I could move around in it easily. It was lightweight. But it does not last. At all. I wore it under my dress for renaissance fair and looking at it now its broken in multiple places. I did not even do that much with it besides mostly just walking, an occasional twirl to give myself a breeze or gently sitting. The other thing is its extremely dirty??? Like I showered before wearing, did not put on any self tanner or anything like that but it looks like I had self tanner on it. No Idea how it got so dirty under my costume and also definitely will not be able to wash it without breaking it more. So gonna have to toss it. Definitely bummed. Recommend a different one if want multiple uses.
