NORTIV 8 Men's Waterproof Winter Snow Boots AVENUE

I've had these boots for about 90 days now, have not been gentle with them and use them daily in my shop and out in the snowbanks. I did not write the review sooner because to be honest I didn't expect these things to survive a couple of weeks before something failed. I was wrong and they are still functioning as good as new, no leaks, no cracks and the zipper is holding it's own. I did put a little Vaseline on the zipper to grease it up little. Got to be fair, for $40 these things are doing great. Not the boots you would take on an Arctic expedition but just fine for Minnesota. They do run a little large is about the only caution I can add.

My husband is the pickiest footwear person I have ever known, so when I find a pair of boots he doesn't have a single complaint about, I jump for joy literally. You cannot imagine how hard and how much money, time, research and effort goes into buying him a pair of anything he wears on his feet, even flips. So when he said these were perfect, well I just stood there with my mouth open and couldn't think of anything to say. So if you have someone like my husband or you are someone like him, then you have to try these boots, seriously. Thank you Nortive for making these boots, you have saved me a lot of headaches, time and money. So thank you, thank you, thank you. Plus you made them affordable as well.

Love these boots. Easy on and off. Feels warm. Bought mine an extra size than my foot to accommodate extra socks if I want to wear them. Some people have remarked about the zipper and I had the same issues. Very hard to pull up and down. Even used pliers but was a struggle. I read some people used vaseline and even dry spray lube. I took a different route and used a Tealight candle and rubbed the wax up and down the zipper on both sides. I then ran the zipper up and down several times and then repeated the process. Zips up and down fine now. I suspect you could just about use any candle wax and also reapplications will be necessary when the zipper gets hard again but that is minimal maintenance in my book.

Overall these are good winter footwear for the price. My only complaint would be that they run about a half size too big. I wear a size 12 usually but in these I could have easily gone with an 11 1/2.

I ordered these boots when they were on sale, and I desperately needed new ones. The first day I had them, it was a combination of melting snow and icy puddles outside. They kept my feet perfectly dry, however they have terrible traction on the ice. I recommend you buy a pair of crampons to go with these if you're going to be walking on ice at all. With crampons, I have walked through snow, slush and several inches of icy water and the boots have stayed warm and dry. I will update again next winter, hopefully they'll still be in good shape.The sizes run a bit large, I probably could have gotten a half size smaller but I decided to keep them. A second pair of socks will fill up the extra space.

I had a chance to try these things out in the snow today and they were fantastic. I almost didn’t wear them became I didn’t think there would be very much snow, but there was and we got stuck even in a 4 wheel drive truck. I liked these boots for a couple of reason. 1)they zip up tight and keep moisture out 2) they actually keep your feet really warm when my buddies were freezing 3)they hug your legs and actually allow you to pull your pant legs down over the boots opposed to tucking them in. This kept snow out of my boots all day. You can't go wrong with these in my opinion, they do run just a little bit big.

Bought for my husband. He scooped snow yesterday. He was very pleased with the warmth and comfort of the boots.

Bought these for my husband just before our first big snow of the year. He loves them! He used our snowblower to remove 7" of snow off our walks and driveways, then went on to do several neighbors' walks and drives, and his feet remained dry and warm.

These are a great price for what you get. The boots are solid yet not to heavy. I have used them for a month now and they seem very robust, I have been through endless mud and puddles on daily walks and they are totally waterproof. The insulation is very good and kept my feet warm. I have taken off one star as they were very stiff around the tops to start with and they did rub, but now that I have been wearing them a month they are starting to soften and become more comfortable. I solved the issue by not fully doing up the zips to start with, to allow a little extra flexibility at the top. This didn’t affect the performance. I found them slightly large fitting but just simply wear a thick pair of socks with them. Overall very pleased and good value.

Well made, waterproof bottoms... good tread grip...great for Canadian winter weather... zipper is of good quality... and the insulation does not grab my wool socks like my felt step in other boots... no need for a long shoe horn... comes off easily... will try to waterproof the uppers a bit more... but it is not an issue, as I don't intend to use them like rubber boots... can't beat if for the cost, that's for sure.... would definitely recommend.. 77 years old, active outdoorsy person.
