I was looking at the 24 terabyte drive to begin with and found the 28 TB drive was cheaper at the time of my viewing. My plan is to consolidate several drives I have music, audiobooks, and photos on. When I connected the drive it was ready to go to work. Shipping was exceptionally quick and free. The only downside I found on the drive was the lack of a US power cable to connect to US wall plugs. When I got the drive I checked and found the plug is common enough and had a cord available. Note: Falsely Advertised On Amazon As WD Red Drives. Came With Another Model Of WD Drives. The WD 36 TB (Usable 32 TB) Has 3 Raid Options To Pick From. Has Built In Hardware Encryption (Password Protection Future). Connectivity Is Via USB C, And The Box Had 2 USB Cables (USB C to A, and USB C to C Cable) Also Mine Came With 2 Power Cables (3 pin UK type and 2 pin round type).

Been using WD drives for years. Needed a very large drive in a RAID 1 configuration to house a music collection. Price on Amazon was lower than other WD drives with less capacity. Note that the low rating on Portability is not an issue - this is a desktop external drive and should not be moved around, especially while in use. I only have two complaints. One, the drive came from overseas, which I knew when ordering. What I didn't realize is that it would have European and British power cables. Not really an issue as I plenty of power cables that fit - wound up using one from an old Apple TV device. Second, the drive comes with utilities software. Unfortunately, this software has not yet been updated to support MacOS Big Sur, resulting in the hard drive disconnecting during the night. Contacted WD support to find out when the software would be updated, but did not receive an answer. I got a response, just not an answer. Solution has been to uninstall the WD software. Since so doing, the disk has yet to disconnect or have a problem. But, overall, a solid thumbs up. WD makes good, reliable drives, and I expect years of good service out of this unit.

I've had the best luck with WD drives. After trying a dozen cloud options for storing back-up data & photos, I gave up and dumped it onto this drive and stuck it in a safe deposit box at the bank. Much faster, cheaper, simpler, reliable, and accessible. Cloud storage of 10's of thousands of files sucks!!

Large abs cost effective! Doesn’t come with an American wall plug though.

I needed a huge drive to download a huge dataset for machine-learning. I got this used for $270 and absolutely would not pay full price for it. After getting an international power adapter, I was able to use this and it's working well enough for the price. Pros: - High Capacity Cons: - Was shipped to me with a UK power cord, and I was told by Amazon support that this is normal, despite it not being mentioned anywhere in the description that I could find - Loud, and vibrates heavily when writing - If it's plugged in when your computer boots, it will slow down the boot process while your computer waits for it to finish making loud noises

Parti yazilimla kurun daha sağlıklı olabilir exfat çok sık çöküyor ama kurtarmaya daha çok imkan veriyor ntfs çökerse dosyalara ulaşmanız daha zor çökene kadar daha dayanıklı ama çökmüş harddiskte veri kurtarma çok sınırlı.

Whenever I need an external drive, I always buy Western Digital as I've found they're always the most reliable. This 18TB drive is no exception and the price was a real bargain for the size of the drive. The drive is a little noisier than my smaller 8TB and 4TB external drives, but that's not big deal since it's only used for backups. The drive did come with a UK plug since it was sent from Amazon UK, but I simply emailed WD and asked if they could send me out an AU adapter, which they kindly did without hesitation.
