Makes good shakes
Given as a gift to my son, who is happy with it. It froths quite well and looks quite smart in the kitchen. Bit concerned the clip to hold the metal beaker may break over time. Feel is quite flimsy, but overall pleased.

Good machine for price
Great milkshake machine makes thick creamy milkshakes just makes sure your ingredients are cold and don't fill the metal cup all the way to 500 as it expands quite alot as it's made

Great for milkshakes
I like milkshakes, so I took the plunge to buy it & I'm glad I did. Today (13/09/22), I got some vanilla ice cream out of the freezer & carved enough out with a spoon to fill it up to about a 3rd of the jug. I then put 3 heaped tablespoons (next time I'll drop it to 2) of Nesquik chocolate powder into it & then covered it with milk, so that it's just under half full. I mixed it using the 1st setting, which does most of it, but some ice cream was still in lumps which is where the 2nd speed was used, to blend it out fully. I poured it into a glass to check for any remaining lumps & then back into the blender for 1 last whisk I'm now sitting with a chocolate milkshake, which isn't perfect yet, until I sort out the amounts of each item, but it's still much better than putting milk & Nesquik into a glass & trying to mix it by hand. I'd recommend this to anyone, as it's not expensive but does the job well enough. Just make sure you don't fill it up too much, as there's no cover/lid to keep contents inside. Halfway in the jug makes about half a pint :)

Managed to make two milkshakes before it stopped working
It's just about the cheapest of the spindle machines on offer at Amazon and had reasonable reviews, do I decided to give it a try. I made the first shake using Shmoo chocolate milkshake mix. It came out perfectly and I was very pleased. The next night I made another using the Cadbury's choc shake mix I had been using with a hand blender previously. The flavour is good but not as thick as the Schmoo. The machine appeared to be working perfectly. A few minutes later I washed the mixing jug under running warm water, inserted the jug in the machine to rinse the rotor and switched it on. Nothing happened. I made sure it was inserted correctly, switched it to both slow and fast speeds and still nothing happened. The only thing I could think of was that it might have some kind of thermal cutout that had kicked in so I left it for an hour or so before trying again. It was still dead. It was returned to Amazon on the third day. Iv'e since purchased a heavy duty, all stainless steel machine with twin motors, each nearly twice as powerful as the Livivo one from the Vevor manufacturer's website. It costs around three times the price but as they say, you get what you pay for. I'm glad I didn't simply ask for a replacement for the Livivo one. I don't think their quality control is good enough.

Gutted - it has English plug and can't use until I go buy an Australian one. Please make it more obvious in the advert that this has UK plug.
