Q: Can it be used when sleeping in a campervan

Yes, you could use it in a campervan, but you would need to drive an earthing rod into the ground where you park and connect the pillows cable to it. Connecting to the vehicles DC earth (ie the chassis) would not work.

Q: Does the plug use electricity or it it just for grounding?

It just uses the Earth pin of a 13 amp wall socketto ground the pillow. There is no connection to electricity.

Q: You have the plug socket switched on or off?

You should place the plug provided into the wall socket, making sure the other end is connected to the pillowcase, but you do not need to switch the plug on. The pillowcase does not consume any power. This will allow the pillowcase to be earthed and ready for use. I hope you find this answer helpful.

I’m sure you can - it’s exactly the same principle - just ones a sheet and ones a pillow case.
