My Christmas book to her was "Jewels of the Renaissance" which is another exceptional work of art done by the same publisher. (If I recall correctly it is Aussoline). I will continue to buy her books from this publisher for they are not only works of beauty but of interesting information. I believe this is one of the finest books I have bought for her - and I buy similar quality books for my son Klay. So Alive You Can Almost Smell the Flowers
This is an exquisite book. As I turn the pages, I find myself silently uttering "wow" and sometimes even laughing aloud at the clever floral combinations. As a student of botanical illustration, I am inspired by both the illustrations and pithy quotations. I would say that there is less art history and more contemporary expression than I had imagined. This is refreshing as we probably have enough collections of botanical illustration. This book is very much of the moment. It is so "alive" that the reader/viewer can almost imagine smelling the flowers!

Tolle Fotos, toller Umschlag. Wer sich für Blumen begeistert, jenseits der Gerbera, dem wird dieses schöne Buch sehr gefallen. Zudem ist es sehr dekorativ.
