Garmin Nuvi 750 755t 760 765t 770 780 775t 780 785t OEM Cradle GPS Holder

I have a NUVI 750 and the GTM 20 Traffic cable with a lifetime subscription. For a while now the connection has been a problem. I would have to wiggle it several times to get it to charge the NUVI. On a recent trip to Boston I tried to get it to work in the rental car and it just would not work. Luckily the NUVI's battery lasted long enough to get me to the hotel. I started looking for solutions and ran across this cradle. After reading the reviews I decided to order one. I was not sure if it was the cradle or the cable but this was the cheaper option. I ordered it on Thursday and got it Monday morning using regular shipping. I connected it to the Nuvi and took it to the car to test. It worked perfectly. My GTM 20 powered the unit and the traffic feature worked like a champ. I am very happy with the quality of the cradle and the service.

My Garmin 755 is charging through the holding bracket again.

Works as advertised AND as reviewed. I too suffered a problem where my Nuvi 765 stopped charging in the cradle. I rummaged through the reviews on both the charging cord (which I thought was the problem) and this cradle holder. In these reviews I saw others had experienced these problems and only needed to buy a new $23 cradle and not the $80 GTM20 cord. THANKS fellow reviewers. This replacement cradle works as well as the original. My objection is that the USB socket is mounted in the cradle assembly in such a flimsy way that it is highly likely that the socket will eventually fail and require replacement of the cradle. Since the weight of the USB cord is supported only by it's connection to the cradle socket, and the cradle is required to use the GPS, more care should have been taken to securely mount the USB socket in the cradle assembly. Since the replacement cradle doesn't appear to be any better in that regard than the original, I expect that I may well be replacing this item again. For that reason, even though the replacement works just fine, I'm giving this a 3 star rating.

This cradle is a good item to stock up on. Since I don't want to invest in a new GPS unit, this cradle recieves the brunt of the wear and tear. I am constantly taking the GPS in and out of the cradle whenever I get in and out of my car. And I like how this cradle fits into the 'beanbag' friction mount instead of the suction cup that hung from my windshield. The windshield mount was always losing suction & falling, so I went with the friction mount, and my whole GPS system is less banged-about now. I would buy this product again from this buyer.
