Thank you so much Amazon for getting this book in stock, just when I needed it! Very grateful. I’ve been buying books since Amazon’s inception; through college; thru post degree, and now on to my career path!!! I passed my CAHIMS Exam!!!

lousy contents considering the expensive price. Should improve contents and decrease the price

HIMSS hasn't made any significant changes to the latest edition. A lot has happened in the last few years in healthcare IT and none of that reflects in this book. Their previous edition is from 2012. Little disappointing. I'd say go for a used second edition if you're a student and trying to save some money. Believe it or not, second edition is as good as this one and you'll get bang for your buck!

Take the Practice Test for $75 before you even sign-up for the exam!! Worth the $75 to understand. Test re-take fee is $250.

This book is not worth the money. It is basically a copy of the 2nd edition in a different font and very few changes.Also, it does not adequately prep you for the exam since it is mostly theory and no situational prep needed for the exam.

This book offers very basic information and it does truly reflect the content of the exam. No value for the price.

I took a practice test and then used this book and a couple of white papers to study. I only gained enough background knowledge to pass. The content absolutely does NOT reflect the exam and is out of date regarding technology used in hospitals and ambulatory settings.Take the review course if you really want to do well.
