Genuinely foul.
This stuff is truly awful. I gave it a good go, several goes, in fact, but time between attempts did not improve matters. Apparently some people like it so maybe you will, too, but I found that, even when mixed with more ginger ale than recommended, it still leaves a pungent after taste that smells unpleasantly like tar.All credit to whoever wrote the description, though, it truly is a magnificent work of imagination.

Unusual. Delicious.
I can understand divisive reviews about this. But I’m firmly in the Love It camp. Don’t drink neat, as it is acidic (I see they now show it is blended with Apple Cider Vinegar), but it is one of the only non alcs which mixes well. I’ve made smoky margaritas and they are amazing. Takes more thought to make a drink with it than their Ruby (which I also love) but this is so good when you find your drink!

Interesting, potent, dilute/mixing useable but definitely a BBQ flavour
As other reviews have stated it has a distinct BBQ sauce smell, literally no other way of describing the noseTook a wee sip in glass as curious before mixing into mocktails or thinking what to do with it, it is a very potent flavour that make you say "god damn" in first sip, good or bad no other way of first reaction, has got a BBQ flavour with small smokeyness, see others saying not sweet but bbq is a sweet flavour, it does seem to have a weird (I do mean weird) whiskeyness to it, don't get me wrong it's no whiskey by any stretch but as a descriptive I'd say it's an off BBQ effort on whiskeyWith its strength in flavour it is very mocktail usable, (can't imagine being enjoyed straight or Old Fashion/Manhattan style) can see future concoction with trial and error going into mocktail recipes as does give a linger of whiskey after taste and seems to mix well with other flavours but can't imagine ever needing more than a single measure into a drink

Tastes like bbq sauce
Very strange taste. Makes the mixer taste like McDonald’s bbq sauce and vinegar .

Very smokey and dark
My initial thought was it tastes and smells like BBQ sauce.. Not an alcohol alternative! It is OK in small amounts with a mixer and a slice of orange or lemon.

Delicious - Best no alchohol I've had
Wow! I don't know that this can be compared to any other drink available, it's different, in a really good way. I had it mixed with ginger ale and it was like a 'real' drink - exactly what you'd want if you're having a night off. Highly recommend.

Far too acidic for me
I hate to give a really bad review for something that is a simple matter of taste but...Can't really say I liked the taste - unless it was smothered in ginger beer - in which case I might just as well drink ginger beer. For me it was just too acidic and caused me some digestive problems (starts with "s" ends with "s" has 3 letters in between)
