The air floor is an inflatable floor board that blows up rock hard to 8 PSI. Same drop stitch design and material as an inflatable stand up paddle board. It deflates and rolls back up with the dinghy. The aluminum floor model is the exact same size as the dolphin 8.8' air floor, only difference is the aluminum floor inserts that take 3-5 minutes to pop in. I do not know where it is made, but it's horrible craftsmanship and I wouldn't take it anywhere without patches and a couple of good pumps and another person on board who could pump while someone else drove. I tried to return it around 45 to 60 days after I received it, but Amazon and the Inflatable boat people said the time had passed. That was a real "eye-opener" on Amazon
