They expand as I was expecting and hold quite a bit! They aren't quite as sturdy as I was hoping for, but overall they're fine. Come with good label and will do what you need for the money you spend on two of them.

A little disappointing.
My first complaint is that the tabs separating the sections are too opaque to read the tab labels. I had to write the alphabet letters on the tabs with a marker.Secondly, the bottom of each section is not flat. There is a protruding 1/8 of an inch of plastic that prevents papers from dropping to the bottom.I did not need fully expand the folder but it looks like it would hold a lot of papers.It does appear to be decent quality for a temporary file system. But I would not reorder it.
